that is a dream of mine, I would LOVE to ship my FL5 and drive around Europe with it, hit the Nürburgring a few times, then ship it back home. I VERY OFTEN dream about doing something like this
FL5 is slower, for sure, the Camaro ZLE is the fastest by far, that thing is like a nuclear bomb on the track. The Corvette Z06 is a little behind on the camaro, mainly a power and stability thing. The FL5 is WAY low on power compared to the American brutes, but it's more fun to throw around, doesn't feel like I'm about to meet my maker if you know what I mean
@@FlyinGato Thanks for your input. I have avoided tracking a Mustang, Camaro, or Corvette because they are so incredibly powerful and fast that the tiniest mistake can end it all.
Well, to be clear, you’re taking the drip tray off the hood scoop, everything under the car stays on the car. Also, it is possible to bottom out on an apex but I’ve never done it.
@@nomumashisomoshiso It's hard at times but you did the right thing, some priorities will have a bigger importance than a car, even more important than a great car like the FK8. Hopefully one day you can find another one.
I love the FK8, I'm still too new with the FL5 to really make a determination on which is "better", but honestly, FK8 vs FL5, doesn't matter, both cars are jack of all trades, do it all fun, reliable cars.
Can’t believe I went to my local dealership and saw one of these in their used lot I was so happy they let me see it in person one day I’ll have it
Cheers Elias, glad to be here with you on track day, even if only virtually 👍💪✌
thanks bud! always nice seeing you here
Nice work, I'm absolutely loving mine. Car is so awesome.
love this thing
Looks fun AF can’t wait to start tracking my fl5 🤙
It is and you definitely should
I wonder what do you think about wheel spacers on FL5. Do they introduce understeer?
Hey that’s me at 14:41 in the gray Audi!
You were looking good out there!
higher revs dude!
I think you'd love to drive around the Nürburgring with an FL5.

@@FlyinGato well, if you want to, maybe one day you will. You are young and have family and stuff happening, time will come one day. Take care Elias.
How does track time in the FL5 compare to your Camaro and Corvette?

Nice video.what happened to your prelude?
my friend, and guy I bought it off of in 2007, is currently using it as his daily again
@@FlyinGato wow that amazing
I’m tracking mine in November at road Atlanta and I was wondering if an oil cooler would be a good upgrade before taking it there?
as long as you're on stock power, take off the drip tray from the hood, and you should be all set honestly.
@@FlyinGato ok, is it possible for the oil pan to then scrape the ground if I hit an apex?

@@FlyinGato oh ok I got you! I thought you meant the skid plate haha
How the engine oil holding up? 244 degree seams a little high.
as long as it stays under 250 I think it's ok. I am planning on changing it more often because of these high temps, however.
Might need a bigger oil cooler
Do you think they will come out with a club aport edition of this car where it is just track orientated
Unfortunately I highly doubt it
Love your FL5 in red! and I prefer the FK8! keep it up buddy!
I'm keeping my FK8, it's been a good car for the last 5 years I've owned it.
@@rjung_ch Sold mine cos priority changed but damn do I miss my FK8

I think you should keep your FK8 forever if you can, I would have kept mine if I had not hit a wall with it...
