This is one of my study guides if you will. It’s easy to skip, or unintentionally neglect the basics at times. These videos are fun and training for me. Thank you!
Great video. I'd love to see a video on Aspect bleed. How much there is in the game, which cards it can be found on, when those cards were introduced, and where you'd expect/like to see more bleed in the future (or if you'd prefer less). For example, with Iceman's reveal and how bad he is at thwarting, I'd love more info on which cards I can use to help him thwart in all aspects rather than just relying on Justice.
Aspect bleed is such a great idea for a video, thanks! I have so many video ideas it's hard to know which to make but I really do like this concept. Will try to slot it in!
@@VillainTheory I look forward to it. I expect we'll see more of it in the coming waves. Float like a Butterfly is such a great recent card, but definitely aspect bleed.
Good to have you back making videos again. Great video and I love the variety in your content especially with how well it gels with Nelson’s stuff. My key take away from this video though was that I basically need to let the heart of the cards guide me over everything else 😂
Good to see you back! Leadership's strength comes from having the best support for the best card type :). Contrary to what you said it CAN feel like you are just playing & recycling the same old swarm of allies regardless of which hero you are using. Protection is more reactive though I often don't play any cards in the villain step but rely on upgrades etc so I am not so far off the pace in the player phases, plus I like to build early. My favourite card, based on looking at my decks, Energy Barrier* is slow to impact but you need it for your Repurposes anyway. The rich get richer is something I say a lot esp wrt the delightful Captain Marvel. As someone who never plays 3+ player and hardly ever 2 player /2 handed I look forward to your next articles with an academic interest! *I was excited by it when it was spoiled and it has not disappointed!
I do love Energy Barrier. Very efficient, super precise with where you can ping the damage, 10/10. Especially love how it doesn't exhaust so you can rapid fire it if you get hit by a string of damage (e.g. villain attack, minion attack, treachery). Glad to hear a mostly-solo player is interested in the next video in this series! I'm excited to make it!
Love your videos. They're really helpful for beginners like me. If I may suggest something though: enunciate. I have to put on subtitles to understand half of what you're saying. Other than that, keep up the good work. More power to your channel.
It's something I struggle with. It's worse on this video than most of the others recorded around this time - but still working on it now and will continue to do so! And thanks!
Hey VT, I would love it if you could do a sort of "how to build..." series where you discuss one or two specific builds for those heroes in each of the aspects.
Haha! I love Multiple Man too. Protection is really solid card for card and I'm super excited to see what new cards it gets in the upcoming Age of Apocalypse wave
Make it Mystic cos of the spiritual draw card. OTOH you may not want to play the Strange or even Scarlet & this doesn't work well for Warlock. Web Warriors are also strong in pure grey as there are a lot of good allies & other basic cards. I have played Miles, Scarlet Witch & SP//DR in grey though you are better with an extra ally or two from the Web Warriors, it works OK without.
Great question! I might cover this in detail some time, but my general advice would be to grab The Power In All of Us and then cherry pick the best allies and resource generators for your hero while largely ignoring the events for the most part (except trait-specific events). Some heroes in particular which can do very well with just basic cards are Web-Warriors as Jonathan has said here already, but also Guardians (due to all the basic Guardian allies) and Deadpool with Mutant Education. Assess the Situation is also a fantastic filler card. In general, card draw is powerful, even delayed in this form. You can often use Basic as an engine to draw and pay for your hero cards.
Great question, love it. Might do a video on it when I find the time! As a quick answer, some of the most fun for me would be Shadowcat Aggression, X-23 Justice, Star-Lord Leadership, and Drax Protection.
Welcome back! Excited for more analysis videos!
Hey! Thanks so much!

Great breakdown! I particularly liked the multiplayer advice.
Awesome! The next video in this series will have a large multiplayer focus, so stay tuned for that one
This is great! Thank you and welcome back! I was a lil worried 💙
Glad you enjoyed it! More to come soon!
Who said we’d only make PowerPoints in high school?! Great video! Helped me out a lot!
Haha! Glad it helped!
Great video, thanks and welcome back! 👍👏💪
Thanks! Glad to be back!

Great video! Very useful! Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Great stuff 👍🏻

I'd love to do something like this and plan to! Eventually. Too many ideas, so little time...
Great helpful video! Thanks!
You're welcome!
Ooooh Just like buses….two VillainTheory videos in one day (liked the iceman preview on Nelsons channel) - good to have you back HNY
Haha! Thanks and HNY to you too!
I really like the idea of Protection and it’s got my favourite cards, Multiple Man, but I can get pretty confused when playing it. 😅
Haha! I love Multiple Man too. Protection is really solid card for card and I'm super excited to see what new cards it gets in the upcoming Age of Apocalypse wave
Welcome back
Thanks, good to be here again!
Any advice about making a deck using only basic cards?

Thanks so much for the advice, l'll have a look at what's available my collection.
What are the most fun heroes for each aspect?
Great question, love it. Might do a video on it when I find the time!
As a quick answer, some of the most fun for me would be Shadowcat Aggression, X-23 Justice, Star-Lord Leadership, and Drax Protection.
Is it really a full understanding of the aspects without the most important one 'Pool? 😉
Haha! It does get a little mention but... Uhh... Well...
