It's so nice to see an animal friendly loafing barn in India where cows are usually tied up on concrete floors with a rope though their nose... Cows need to be able to lay down in comfort for about 16 (sixteen) hours a day to chew their cud. The happier they are the more milk they give. Just look at Israel's dairies, they give up to 80 liters per day! Greetings from Canada

How much is the cost of the engine. You guys have mentioned the engine life is 32000 hrs, which is 3.75 years. if we need to change the engine, how much it will cost for engine and installation. Is this cost effective in long run?
The only advt which we can see is that they are able to generate the electricity

The big question is how much does the system cost? This is a brilliant way to help farmers reduce the cost but is it cost effective that the small farmer could afford to install it? I have been looking into the small ones for home use that will produce gas for cooking and fertilizer for plants but they are very expensive for the smallish farm.

In India this was started way back in 1960 and fully incorporated in 1981 by NPBD. Over a period of time, with domestic LPG becoming more accessible by the people this slowly died a natural death. The economics to successfully operate a biogas plant is burdensome therefore users tend to shift to the more easily available and more pocket-friendly LPG. Jai Hind.
