  • Generating your own biogas from food and farm waste is a great way to reduce your environmental footprint and save money. By utilizing the natural process of decomposition, you can convert organic waste into a renewable energy source.
Here are the steps to get started:
    1. Collect organic waste from your kitchen, garden, or farm.
    2. Place the waste in the #flexibiogas digester.
    3. Mix the waste with an equal amount of water.
    4. Fed the waste to the digetser and the mixture starts to decompose immediately.
    5. Biogas is collected in the #biogas digester. the biogas produced by the fermentation process.
    6. The biogas is piped to your house or farm.
By following these steps, you can easily generate your own biogas from food and farm waste. Not only will you be reducing your environmental impact, but you'll also be saving money on energy costs. With a little bit of effort, you can make a big difference in the world.
We have developed a range of affordable, off-grid energy and waste management solutions for both domestic and commercial needs that are entirely green.

People have done anaerobic compost for hundreds of years, the issue is scale. You'd need like 1500 gallons of compostable material just to make enough gas for 1 person to cook.
A nice supplement if you have the space and lack resources, but it's not a solution for much of anything.

Also runs his Citroen 2CV van on methane and generator for electricity. Water is heated to 60 C just from the fermentation with no help from a separate water heater.

Thank you for your comment and compliment! You are absolutely right, the concept of utilizing, food waste, green waste and animal waste for energy production and fertilizer is not a new one.
The benefits of this technology, as you pointed out, are numerous. Not only does it provide a source of renewable energy, but it also helps to reduce waste and promote sustainable agriculture by providing a valuable source of organic fertilizer. It's an excellent example of how we can use technology to create a more sustainable and circular economy.

    • @Buongona
      @Buongona ปีที่แล้ว

Probably the main reason why it didn't catch on in western world is because it clashed with exploitation of humans that the capitalists practice.
Namely, it's hard to sell energy to a self sufficient human who gets his essentially for free. But they do use this tech in shipping and big scale waste management so they can get paid for receiving the waste and paid again when turning it to gas and other by products.

@@FlexiBiogas I have been thinking about this a lot since I saw this video today (you are amazing, by the way, I love what you're doing).. I live in North-Eastern Europe so we have a similar problem. But I think there's a simple solution.... If you dig down, ALL land has a plus-zero stable temperature.... perhaps this could be made into a classic cess-pit solution for other climates... My idea: drill a small hole down... find the level where the temperature is just about good enough for the process, and build a very specific cess container to put at that level that works on the principles shown by Nick, except not plugged into your home outlet system, obviously. It would obviously need a very specific design solution but I think it could work if designed properly. You could even have some lights installed within the unit to help the process.. and various filters.. obviously with an access port to allow maintenance.... This could work! I've just decided I am definitely going to try it on my land. :)

@@FlexiBiogas I used to live in nyc for most my life and would watch multiple 200 plus car freight trains (each flat bed car carries 2 trash trucks worth of trash in massive steel bins) hauled out all the days trash to land fills and now thinking back on it the amount of clean energy for the city and fertilizer for farms that bio waste could of produced instead of transporting it hundreds of miles by truck, train, and ship to a dump would be astronomical. I hope to see your company go to supper scale and make one that can run a city of a million or more people and maybe see it as a power source for combustible engines in cars. I wish you all success.

Absolutely! Biogas systems have the potential to be a game-changer in waste management, especially in areas with high levels of organic waste. They offer an environmentally friendly solution to waste disposal while producing a valuable source of energy in the form of biogas. Scaling up biogas systems can have significant impacts on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing waste management costs, and providing a reliable source of energy.

I'm a red wiggler MINIMAL farmer, because I've innovated the earth home concept growing food year-round, this is a great idea on any scale, but I'm limited in space and this won't fit, but I have the respect for this to add this to my innovative ideas in a home off grid... 👍

That's wonderful to hear! Your innovative approach to sustainable farming and the earth home concept is commendable. Integrating the flexi biogas technology into your off-grid home is indeed a great idea, as it can further enhance the self-sufficiency and sustainability of your living space.
While the physical constraints of limited space may make it challenging to implement a large-scale biogas system, there are still options available for smaller-scale setups. Flexi biogas designed for household use can be considered, as they require less space and can still provide valuable benefits.
Additionally, combining different sustainable practices, such as vermiculture, composting, and rainwater harvesting, with biogas technology can create a holistic and efficient system for food production and energy generation. It's inspiring to see individuals like yourself thinking creatively and integrating various sustainable solutions to create a more self-reliant and environmentally friendly living environment.
Keep up the innovative spirit, and continue exploring ways to incorporate sustainable technologies that align with your space limitations and goals. Your efforts contribute to a greener and more resilient future.

    Fantastic work.
Just one thing which is please consider the safety of stored gas as especially near homes this could lead to an explosion also if watering on the leaves or root crops it is vital that the biofertilizer is safe either from pasteurisation of some other method but best NOT to apply in a way that could contaminate food crops.

You could modify the design with moderate weight over the digester to produce a pressurized system.

Thank you for your comment and suggestion. The digester creates its own pressure system, because of it's pillow shaped design.
