and with only the first 6 minutes or so of gameplay on the commercials. hope the marketing director or producer of this game got a lot of shit for this later

Congratulations, and thank you for sharing such an amazing accomplishment!

Challenge aside, major props for managing to make this a rather interesting video. Considering the fights had you doing nothing but bash or guard every turn, you managed to pull a lot out of very little. I imagine it was very difficult.
Extremely impressive stuff- but I do have one note… you can move around while using teleport alpha. I think the distance is longer when you do but if you are fast enough you can use it even in deep darkness. If you use it right you can move around in the lost underworld super fast, it keeps resetting the timer on the geysers, and it lets you avoid most of the monster too!

Fun fact: Half of the Sanctuaries can be saved for later: The 2nd isn't needed to go to Threed, the 3rd isn't needed to go to Fourside, and you can go to Scaraba without visiting the 5th and 6th. You still need to do all of them to go to Magicant. Of course for this run it was probably better to get the experience from doing them immediately.
This reminds me of how me and my boyfriend played this game for much longer than we should have because we did not know that hotels restored HP and PP, or how to call dad to save. Had no idea what butterflies did. We just kept dying and waking up at mom's house. I didn't know poo had a mirror attack until after we became robots, still don't really understand how it works. Very cool video! 💕
And awesome archivement!
Good Job on your run dude this is like something that SGDQ or HD Q could just like only takes so much of contest, especially with hare hands mode being a huge thing and RPGs, overall!
You sir, are a madman.
Great work!
The unintentional comedy of the copyright muting the beatles song is hilarious.
lol yay
@@sellerspiano9811why are you bass clef
Atleast he didn't get copyright-striked for showing a yellow submarine 😂
God damn... I could not beat the game without any of those on SNES Classic... Massively underrated Video
Man, 10,000 attempts. You're crazy dude so I subscribed for you
Just on the Threed thing, apparently they wanted to call it Threek, like freak, but they changed it because they were worried people would read it Three K…. 😂
Great run though! I love this game but I’ve never actually put the time in to really master it… maybe you’ve inspired me!
Threek is crazy, I always heard it as “eek” but who really know 🤷🏻♂️
@fly_hammer I think that's what I like about earthbound... so much went on back then we'll never really know so many things for sure... its a shame so much of the media was lost... I'd remortgage comfortably for an original strategy guide and a pizza delivery guy air freshener 🤣
Earthbound Hard Mode, or more like Hell Mode, Amazing run dude!, hope you do one with Mother 3 🐐🔥
Glad you enjoyed it! Mother 3 is on my list to do one day but I’ve not played it yet, and doing a challenge like this blind it a tad extreme lmao
@@fly_hammer Oh really? You know what, I think you have to enjoy Mother 3 then dude!, as much as you can, let it be a new experience, and then do challenges once you finish it, or do it later buddy, I promise you it's something even better than the og Earthbound experience.
@@fly_hammer I would 100% recommend doing a M3 challenge but maybe not as extreme as this one something easier like no normal attacks only PSI, skills and items
@NeonValkyrieGaming I'm thinking about that dusters solo castle is gonna be hell but everything else seems OK execpt maybe the absurd missing with flint in the extreme early game
@@Streetcleanergaming Fate and Serious are Hell
Something you didn't seem to realize was that you can move during the build up phase of Teleport Alpha. This actually lets you finish a teleport in tight areas that even Beta can't complete in!
NO PSI
NO Equipment
YES Ness
NO Items
NO Savestates
I can see Ness both slapping and punching the fuck out of some animals, police officers, a fucking Sea Monster, and the literal next coming of Satan whilst the gang watches in pure shock lmao
First time I've actually seen a full playthrough of Earthbound, it was a RPG that I just kind of missed when I was younger despite loving a lot of the other SNES classics and (at least on the relative scale) nicher ones like Seiken Densetsu 3 and Secret of Mana. So from this I will conclude that Earthbound, is clearly a baby easy RPG since you can just basic attack through it.
But seriously this was wild, that insanity of getting to Gigas. -Months-. Like, holy shit dude, that is some dedication. Hope to see more from you in the future, and for now will take a look over your backlog!
Seeing this with the other 2 games in the series would be painful for you but probably entertaining for everyone else!
