Wow its in really good shape for sitting in a field for so long a real example of great American manufacturing back in the day thanks for filming this and saving a true American classic !!!
Yea, l had a few nice cars back in the day, 66 & 69 Dodge chargers (383). 70 Chevelle (396) & a 65 galaxy (390). I didn't know then what they would be worth today? 😂
Good job saving a car almost twice your age. No shortage of parts, to make this a nice car once again. Don't give up, Ive spent over 7 years and $7k resurrecting my '64 Olds 98, that I saved from a junkyard. Hard to find parts for that one.
You probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Chandler Karson I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Just subscribed today. Many many years ago when I was in the Marines. I bought a 1963 Chevy Belair 2 dr hardtop. Purchased in 1983. in 1985 I took it down to Tiajuana and had the bodywork, paint and interior totally done. (cost $500) They did an awesome job btw. So its been sitting for many years and I'm soon to start on the restoration. A little history on the car, Originally it had a 230 Straight 6 with a 3 on the tree. Many years ago I blew the head gasket on it and decided the motor was finished. So, I upgraded it to a 327 and a Muncie M21 4Speed. I will be replacing the entire floor pan and trunk pan. There is going to be a lot of work to do on her. Yes, she has had a name since when I first bought her. Anna Bell (Anna Belair) In the 38 years I have owned it I have only seen one other and that was a Motor Week many years ago. I have NEVER seen another 63 Belair 2dr HT. Please do a video on where you guys are buying your older chevy parts.
Bad ass brother.. god bless you for saving that impala… I got a 64 also I saved from Wyoming.. it was in the same thing water and snow got it .. but now it in California getting restored
My fists car I tried to buy from a neighbor was 63 impala 2 door w 302 z 28 engine,I was 15 years old.it was literally sold ten minutes before I got to it .that was in 1975 ,it was white beautiful, I was so mad.thanks for sharing,
One of my uncles had bought a new 1963 Chevy Impala SS/ 327 back in the day. White roof/ Gold paint (metallic?) . Sweet car. The '64's are also cool...
Ever think of taking a air tank for tires, even one tire will make a big difference and lots of times break the mud lose anyway. Fairly nice car, maybe if you had took sewing class in high school, that interior would be a snap. Cold war motors in canada, Scott builds so super nice rigs, he sows the seats and headliners and it really does improve the chances of a car getting finished right.
That will be a nice car when its done, be prepared to replace the frame I have the same one and the frame was shot in it, the dust collects inside the frame and turns to mud rotting it from the inside. It is easy to replace though so not a huge problem. I will be watching to see how it goes good luck and enjoy.
I use to have 64 bought for 100$ been sitting for 10 yrs what nice about these car don’t take much get them running . All took mine was battery change oil tune up got it back on road was nice till my sister drove it crash it in to poll . That was end of it miss that so nice to drive.
Good job! We had a ‘64 Bel Air 4-door when I was a kid. Your car is *much* cooler. She’s rough, but what a sweet old girl! I love the 58-64 Chevys, but don’t like that cheesy X-frame. That 327/three on the tree combo is pretty odd. Our ‘64 was the usual 283/Glide combo. Good luck with her! Now I wanna see Christine and the other cars you guys found. Man, it looks COLD out there!
What a save. She's going to be a beauty again. What is you goal with her? A street rod or a complete restoration back to new? I have to admit the '59 Chev is my favorite but a '64 is a close second. Good luck!
Had a 65 Impala for like 37 years only thing that went wrong was the water pump gave up easy to fix loved driving that V8 around London, masdive car compared with most European cars. Love that 59 You selling as is ?
