Many years ago at the tender age of 13 (I’m turning 73 soon) a neighbor behind us had a 58 Chevy in his garage being restored. 348 ci V8 under the hood and as I recall it was a tripower. My brother and I co-owned a 58 Pontiac and that car would light up the tires. Jay I love it when you get these 50’s- 60’s era cars in. Oh the memories that come flooding back. Thank you my friend. Beautiful 58’ Delray 👍🏻
Born in '61. Dad brought Mom and I home in a '57 same color combo. I remember in my Church parking lot bored out of my pee brain on Sunday mornings and admiring all the beautiful cars parishioners would wax on a Saturday to drive Sunday's. Thank You for all You do!
Nice car and you dont see many of this model, they are usually an Impala. Great to see picture board in the trunk. Truly a sleeper or granny's car. Very unique 58 Chevy. Thanks Jay!
When Jay uses the word sweetheart you better know its a keeper, I love the cross flags on the dog dish Jay finds the absolute rare and desirable cars. Keep stroking Mr. Grams
Never knew of them. It is a sweet ride. Of all the times to not have the cash to buy tgat right now. I think i love that better than a Corvette, trick! All jokes aside, that is a very nice automobile. Thanks for sharing and teaching me more about the best made cars. Thanks Jay. P.S. thank shelby for purchasing the 66 Chevrolet, enjoyed seeing that birthday car.
Ya, unfortunately he forgot to grab the mic from the table so it sounds like that for the first half. Once we get to the trunk, interior, engine and closing he grabbed the mic.
Never forget the winter of 1963 rode to West Virginia from Florida in a 58 Delray unfortunately it wasn't this nice all I remember is freezing because the floor boards were rusted out Brrr.
@ All of us has one of these stories about beater cars. I had a friend that had a Vega that he sat in a lawn chair and used a vise grips to steer. No S..T . True storie
