Im at the tail end of 2nd yr and I can proudly say that I have gone through the complete 2 volumes of Robbins. I found my own way of studying. My Robbins is an absolute mess now with all the notes I've written in the book. But I feel so satisfied as it was one of my main goals when i entered 2nd yr. I followed your old video regarding Robbins sir. Thank you sir for being the inspiration to help me achieve this goal 😊
@@GAMINGFIRST01 Robbins is a book which you have to start reading from the beginning of 2nd yr. I suggest you give 1st reading and underline the points. Skip any epidemiology and other vague contents. What I did was to actually write the points as a list/flowchart topic wise with headings. For example in any disease of the systemic chapters, I'd write under headings of Pathogenesis, morphology, clinical features, treatment and prognostic factors- if given. Tables and diagrams- so nicely given in Robbins- just add any extra points given in the text neatly around them. For example, the photo of morphology of a disease will be given next to the morphology text boxes. I'd write the morphological features as bullet points next to the corresponding morphology diagram. If you can't grasp robbins, first watch some videos/ give a reading of Ramdas Nayak etc, then come back. It'll make life easier. I love path so much due to Robbins. All the best 😊
The single most important thing that I feel I did in my UG days was reading Robbins especially the general part. Books like Robbins will generate interest and curiosity to learn more about human body and propel one's interest towards medical research. For instance,The signalling pathways that were explained in neoplasia will blow your mind and remind you of how complex and beautifully orchestrated human body is. Apart from that, it even helps in entrance exams, especially like INICET *For eg* - In this NOV INI there was a question asked about an intricate detail about HIV entry which is not generally told in coaching classes but was given in Robbins diagram. I was able to answer 3 or 4 such questions just because I read Robbins 3 years ago and I'm still able to recollect it even after so much time. That had an immense impact on my exam and helped me secure AIR 37 in this nov ini. So, all in all, Robbins has the power to decide where you'll land in your life✌🏻

Hello friends I am Vinay Kumar senior editor of Robbins. Dr Aditya has given very good advice. Read Robbins and highlight important facts and concepts and then convert them into your own notes for final review. How to decide what is important? @@SelflessDocAmaan Hello ! I preferred watching Preeti Ma'am 's videos because she gives mnemonics which helps in memorizing volatile points. You can go through pre-pladder notes as they are concise, after watching ma'am 's videos go through Robbins it'll help in making your concepts strong. Before University exam mark your pre-pladder notes and Robbins using past year question papers and go through them repeatedly. Don't go through multiple sources it will lead to unnecessary confusion, revise what you've read multiple times take part in quizzes attend practicals . That would be all 😊
