I’ve been making soap as a hobby since 2019 and have been steadily building my customer base through craft fairs and Facebook friends. It’s definitely growing organically and I’m loving the whole experience of meeting people and making new friends. It is very hard and demanding as I’m still working in my day job, but I’ve picked up so many tips from your videos and I’m confident that when I take early retirement soon, I’ll have a good solid base from which I can grow and finally spend my time doing something I love and also supplement the very small pension I will have. Jerika as a soap maker you and Katie Carson pushed me to start sales, and start my dream of being a soap maker this week marks my first year in buisness my fiscal year is Feb 11th! You have been our brick and our soul purpose to keep going and never give up! I remember after my first convention how empty my store was and how I repurchased my first $300 bulk oil restock and my first over 8oz of core lince scents and a soap cutter I was shaking each time but knew it was the right move because groceries store oils and small batches just didn't pay off for price of shipping 😅😅 and then having to adjust for the oil price hike. I want to thank you from the bottom of our heart all you do for us soaper makers and I also remember my first youtube subscriber, I'm almost at 100 members but hitting 1 and 50 was amazing. I had to step back from this also! It is allot of work and it takes away from making soap so I thank you for all the time you give us. With love from soapyfluffs!

My plan for January for a little boost is to do a scrap sale. And I’m going to work more towards wholesale. We have a huge tourist area a few hours north. I’m planning on marketing to them now to get the spring sales. Like you were saying with the feedback and adding a product, that is smart. I put out a survey and wait for the feedback. I’ve already had great ideas come in.

Most other channels I've seen give you every reason to run away and make it feel so overwhelming, sometimes literally telling you NOT to bother in an already saturated market. I think if I knew hard it was going to be up front ( could see the future) I might not have gone past a hobby. But I think since I started as a hobby and it just happened into a business and it was baby steps, it doesn’t seem as crazy. You were one of the inspirations for me to start a TH-cam as well. You are doing a great job!

Almost 2 years ago my husband and I moved from Washington state to Minnesota. The first year here was so difficult for me, I didn't make anything. Then in June I decided I wanted to rebrand and start new. In July I opened online, a new brand, a new design. In October things started to pick up. I had my products in a small shop in town. November was my first event and in that 1 event I did $1200.00. I was floored! December continued the ride and although I didn't come close to your sales, I am pleased. Love watching your videos. I know i enjoy both scented and unscented lotion and sugar scrubs. Sometimes I just want my body spay to stand out and not struggle with other scents from sugar scrubs or lotions.
Mine was the same with my published site. All friends and family. The analytics shows how many hits and from all over and yet no orders. I’ve been working on redeveloping some product and my sight needs a professional touch. I don’t have the eye for digital marketing. I’ve redesigned my labels and streamlined the product I offer. I hope going into the new year the changes I’ve made help. Watching you and a few other creators keeps me motivated. Slow and steady wins the race!

I am finally finishing this episode of Vlogmas 2023 🙂 I had different orders this last week for body lotions and I did this too. It was way easier to make a large batch and then section it off. I have been asked by many of my jewelry followers on my channel, friends, family, etc. where they can buy my jewelry, bath & body products and candles. Right now, I have only done a few popups (mainly where my daughter works - she's an esthetician). I have a website but have been hesitant about adding e-commerce...and then I just recently did some research to find I can have shopify on my website - thank you for ALL of your helpful business tips and recipes. One of the best things for my business has been finding you and becoming one of your Golden Bubbles - I have learned so much !!! Thank you, Jerika 🙂

I truly enjoy your content and your voice. so many youtubers have the most amazing content and yet i am not able to enjoy them as my ears can not handle the high pitched squeakiness of their voices. your voice is really easy to listen to. I can't imagine coming up with new content the way you do.
