What is wrong is that temu is literally stealing designs from crocheters and artists and stealing the designs and mass producing them. It is sad that they are putting crafters out of business. Tradesmark attornies are going after them and the etsy and ebay accounts that are listing copied items.

Hi there! The item does not have to be handmade in order to sell it on etsy. However, Etsy does expect you to list your partners or whoever makes the product you sell. But it does not HAVE to be handmade.

yes I've brought supplies and most are comparable to Amazon. on there now looking for display items for my next craft fair. They even do custom items which is crazy to me. Going to by all the things for my upcoming fair.
I get your point but this isn’t anything new in society. It’s always been around that people buy things for cheap and then sell it for more. My brother in law would buy things at garage sales and re-sell them on ebay for more. My sister buys cheap gem stones off Shein and puts them on a chain and sells them for a high profit on a different platform. As long as a seller isn’t saying that it’s their own handmade product, just that it is handmade, and isn’t deceiving the buyer on quality, then it’s up to the buyer to do their research and decide how much they want to pay. 🤷🏼♀️
Even if a business is “over saturated” it’s always a gap in the market, claiming everything is over saturated is just an excuse to not start. I started a handbag business when there are soooo many other handbag businesses that were already out there and made 6 figures in less than a year in my first year. Excuses will just hold you back
