I honestly liked it better than the initial colors, simply because they seemed more earthy and that's more of my vibe. Katie does such beautiful soaps, color morph or no color morph 😅. Love the texture she put between the layers, too. Reminded me of mountains in the mist.
To be fair I kind of prefer the color morph colors and I do still feel like it meets the Mist theme I mean I guess I don't know because I didn't see it cut with the blues and Grays but I am really feeling that soap
Agree! It's like the layers of hills seen over the distance, each one a little more faded through the fog.
I love the color that turned into. I live in the Pacific North West on a hillside, and this reminds me of when the mists come in and the colors of green we see. The misty rainy season is my favorite. Thank you for all the information.

I actually love how the soap turned out with the color morph! Sure, it's not so "misty", but the earth tones make me think of green mountains and forests, and I think it's really pretty.

Katie, I took advantage of your two for 10 lotion promotion recently. And I initially was going to buy flora which was one of my favorite scents, but it was sold out by the time we got to the website. So I picked the white lily and tea one with the limoncello. Not only was there a bonus bar of the limoncello soap, imagine my surprise when I opened it and smelled Flora right away. I was so confused and then it turned out that there was a tiny sample of flora in there. I was over the moon and it was so sweet and coincidental. Thank you so much!!

I really love how the color morphing made the overall feel of the design go from misty skies to misty mountain or rolling misty hills, it works either way! Very happy accident 😊
The morphed colors remind me of like early morning mountains when the mists are all over them tbh, still fits thematically imo but if you’re able to blue it a little bit that would look so good too
As for which morning I like, it fully depends on whether I have to drive into work that morning or not 😂 commute days I like clear mornings, but weekends I love a drippy misty morning when I can just sit with some coffee and be cozy

Walking along the Thames embankment (London U.K.) in a winter’s fog. River on one side of me with garden squares on the other. Yes that’s what this soap invokes for me.
OK I LOVE the green! That pan of the mist rolling down the mountain is exactly what I was expecting when I saw the description of the scent, so the colour morph made it look how I expected it to! 🤣

I like the way it turned out bc it looks intentional - kind of like an homage to Spring!
I think the color has a very earthy feel to it. Definitely not a blue-gray rainy look but Definitely a misty forrest feeling. I think it works quite well together. 🤔
Purples counteract yellowing so maybe adding more purple tinted colors can help. If your colors err more on the orange tinted side you can counteract that with blues
The spoon pulling with the little swirly is my fav kind of texture look!!

The glitter on top actually seems to GLOW against the color morphed top of that soap. I'm sure it's just the lighting, but I don't think we would have noticed such an intense and vibrate shine on the blue top.
I also live in the PNW... And mist clinging to the fir trees on a mountain side is the most beautiful site in all the world for me!

I love the way the colors changed, between the greens and the various browns reminded me of when I went to the mountains with my dad and uncle as a teen. To answer the qotd I enjoy both misty, rainy mornings and cool clear mornings equally, but for different reasons.

I love mist and rain and cool weather. I avoid the sun like I am a vampire, and I only feel motivated to leave the house when it's overcast or raining. I love the smell and the feel and the look.

When Katie used a tablespoon to take oil out to mix with the micas I was so tempted to play devil's advocate to point out "Katie you said to always use grams and never imperial kitchen measuring spoons" but I know that it's fine because she's taking the oil out of a weighed amount, mixing it into a weighed additive, and returning it to the weighed product. So I played both arguments in my head. XD I enjoyed the prepping rundown today.

If it is possible, I would really love a long look at the corrected version added to the end of the videos when changes will be made. I think that would be nice to see. It must be really complicated dealing with all the complexity of soap alchemy.

I have been watching this channel for a very long time, and thought I had a pretty good idea of what it took to make a batch of soap, but I hadn’t thought about so many of the things you included! I learned a lot and enjoyed “chatting” as you called it. A beautiful soap!

You should do a from blood and ash soap. Poppy and mountain air, musk, with blood red streaks in a pure white soap with red poppy flowers on top!

I just had a random thought of a fun thing maybe you could try for next year's holiday season! Namely, a soap advent calendar. A box with a bunch of little compartments, and each one for each day contains a little soap sample! Maybe have just one picked for some randomly selected other project or gift if you feel so inclined. Naturally it's too late for that by now, but wanted to toss this out there in case maybe you wanted to consider whether it may be a feasible thing to offer next year. Thanks!
I successfully made my 3rd batch of CP soap, 2nd time using your recipe! It's fun, but stressful 😅. I just make 2 loaves for Christmas gifts, once a year.

I honestly think that the colors it became looks a lot like your ending photo more than the origonal color, considering one of my favorite colors is steel blue, I think you should do both colors! Try and get the blue, but also do several batches with this lovely green!
