The whole series 10 is psychologically damaging. This one has so many disqualifications and zero points compare to the prior and later series because people say Greg was not strict enough.
Gotta admit, seems to me the nicest task EVER. No mess, no danger,no humiliation. I have a suspicion that the contestants were told to make arses of themselves.
@billbauer9795 I can only speak to my own observation, but he seemed like he was suffering from alcoholism (check out his poem that he wrote on 8 out of 10 cats does countdown) and seemed to think the only way people would like him is if he was a clown. Now he seems more at ease with himself and more in control of his life. This is 100% conjecture on my part, so I'm likely wrong, but I see a lot of myself in him.
Empty the balls into a trashbag. See there is smaller balls. Maybe someone finds the matchbox. Place the trashbags back into the cage. At least you can make more of an educated guess that way. I think the task made people afraid to take any out

My first idea was to do what I always do for these challenges at parties. You count one layer, you multiply by the number of layers and add 10%. Wouldn't have gotten me the right answer here, but I still would have won the task

@@BattleSpew They didn't need to all be in by the end. The task said "All the balls must be in the basket when you make your guess." I think their thinking was that her "official" guess was the 498 guess, which wasn't valid.
It's hilarious how the contestants keep forgetting it's TaskMaster and no challenge is going to be a straight forward challenge. They keep forgetting to think outside the box.
The issue is with such a short time limit, making sure you don’t get disqualified should be your main concern. Just look at Mawaan making no attempt to be accurate and getting 3 points as opposed to Katherine and Johnny putting in real effort and getting 0 If they had 30 minutes, or even 15, we probably see them try to come up with clever ways to empty and then refill the box
They just need to make a series of the worst scorer of each season. I feel like it would be completely hilarious and some redemption for who ever wins. It should be full season not just an ep though or at least a short season.
It makes sense previously but they already had 16 series already. They can just do a one or two series with the top 10 lowest scores or something. Still would be fun to watch.

I counted 11 balls in a pair of offsetting rows, and 5 such rows, gives 55 balls on one face. And multiplied that by 55 on the next face to calculate a volume through the magic of "completely bullshit math", producing an answer of 3025. Add in the heapage quotient and i got 3080, all before i knew about any smaller balls. I am ashamed. 😂

I counted six balls in the bottom row, five in the second, sort of nestled into the spaces between the six in the row below. Those two rows taken together have 11 balls, and I counted five of these 6-5 pairs of rows, so one face of that cube has about 55 balls. And I just counted all the balls on that face individually - ignoring the ones sticking out the top as they are part of the heapage factor - and got 59. Therefore 55 is a decent estimate of the balls on one face, off by less than 10% of the actual count. The rest of my math was of course completely and utterly wrong, and I have no defense for that. 😂

I genuinely guessed 1000 when I watched this 1st time round. My reasoning was: The cage is 12x12x12 squares but the balls are bigger than the squares, so allowing for that say 10x10x10 balls = 1000.

And since it doesn't take long to make that kind of calculated guess, you'd have ample time to jam your arm down in there and discover the smaller balls, at which point you can also make an estimate about those.

OK but what if the task had been "retrieve this one object in the pit without touching any ball"? Those tasks are so random and have so often restrictive rules that it's not a good idea to start doing anything before reading the task in its entirety.
I counted 684 by multiplying the balls touching one side of the cage by the number of balls deep (hehe) there was. Even without knowing about the smaller balls at the time it still would've been the closest guess.
How many of these tasks did Daisy perform while PREGNANT? Sure, they’re not massive athletic feats but they’re ridiculous enough without a fetus bouncing along with the movements
somehow the lack of audience only made this the second worst season of task master (still all fun to watch). Its just the characters in the group make up for it unlike season 8 where it was the tasks holding the fun together.

This one is more cruel than clever. There was no possible way for them to get the 'solution' and still complete the task properly.

I just... Don't understand why no one just counted the lengths. I got 1200 as a rough guess using the grid of the cage as assistance.
Then you would have been off by a bit if all the balls were the same size as the only ones visible without emptying the cage.
