I recall, as a child (13/14yrs old), Eddie ALWAYS speaking so highly of his brother, before he was ever introduced to the “public”. Beautiful to also know that Charlie was, also, a devoted family man, married with 2 young children.
He said he started off doing security for his brother, but Eddie had to fire him bc he was too quick to fight. He was extremely over protective of his little brother, & said he'd wanna kill someone if they didn't laugh at Eddie's jokes. Not sure how true the story is, but allegedly the final straw for Eddie was when Charlie beat the crap out of a guy in a wheelchair in a nightclub bc he OVERHEARD the guy say Eddie wasn't that funny. 😂

Black magic lol
Charlie was a talent of his own. He left his impression on me a funny guy and just someone who would take a story and make it his own.
Eddie does a perfect Charlie impersonation. Charlie's skits while he was on the Chapelle show where he talked about the past with Dave portraying the celebrity were my favorite bits from that show.
Lol, same! Btw, you're so pretty; I subbed.🌹😊

@Joe" poopy pants "Biden 🤣🤣🤣🤣
For real, they are so well done‼️💯 The Rick James ones, the Prince one, all pure gold‼️💯😂😭😂 Dude was a great comedian as well, and a pretty good actor too 😂😂😂 Maybe not quite as good as Eddie was in the "traditional" sense of acting, but he was great as well, and SUPER HILARIOUS in his own way for sure‼️💯😭😅😭 That's my guy for sure, RIP to the late, GREAT Charlie Murphy‼️💯😢🙏

Charlie Murphy is a REAL ONE!!!!! I hope Ed SPLIT the money with Charlie!!!!
I think that if Dave Chappell ever does another show, I think that Eddie should do a True Hollywood story in honor of His brother.
Steven Taylor - Amazing idea
Steven Taylor complete with a Charlie Murphy story and impression
That is such a great idea
Great idea!
That would be epic.
I recall, as a child (13/14yrs old), Eddie ALWAYS speaking so highly of his brother, before he was ever introduced to the “public”. Beautiful to also know that Charlie was, also, a devoted family man, married with 2 young children.
Charlie Murphy was that laid back funny kind of guy but would go full on gangster on you in a sec if he had to. R.I.P to a legend.
Hilarious because normally when you'd hear about a guy beating up a dude in a wheelchair because of a difference of opinion you'd normally think that person was the lowest of the low piece of shite but because you worship celebs you think it's an awesome story... 🤦♂️

I miss Chally Murphy and his stories 😢
I saw an interview with Charlie Murphy and he was talking about his life growing up, his brother's fame, and his tough-guy ways. He said when he wanted to be loved than feared. When he leaves this world he wants people to be sad he's gone, not happy. That's when he changed his way of thinking about life.
I can honestly say Charlie, you are missed and LOVED.
Amen, I miss Charlie Murphy
I miss Charlie so much and I didnt even know him. I can imagine how Eddie hurts so badly and misses him so much. RIP Charlie .
Loved Charlie and I'm glad he had some of the success he deserved before he passed.
2024 reporting in. Anyone else from this year reporting in?
Charlie was very protective over Eddie and they always had each others back. Gone way to early.!!

It's SPOT ON
Thank god Charlie got the chance to display his great talent and bless us with some legendary comedy.

Ellis Jackson 🤦♂️
Since I came to know Charlie I use to say the Mad Eddie Murphy but in a funny way. All the way back to Harlem Nights b4 I knew who Charlie was and didn't realize he was in that movie until I was a older.
Me too both funny AF
Speaking ill of the dead... Not cool.
Charlie had truly created a lane for himself but I have to admit, the Murphy name in comedy is truly UNDER rated and overlooked….fly high ‘Chahlie’ Murphy!!!!😘😘😘
I mean besides the fact that eddie murphy is easily top 5 best stand up comic of all time if not the best #1. So ya idk about under rated
@@maddogkilla1 people, especially black people have no idea what underrated means. Its just a way to show praise at this point.
@@tupd people, especially black ppl are super smart and you dont give them enough credit. They are the most underrated of all the different races/ethnicities
Ok kids, give the phones back to mom now.
@@maddogkilla1 well both you are wrong since intelligence and knowledge of how to use words aren't exclusive to certain races. It depends on what these people do to get smarter and smarter, even the smartest born people won't be the smartest if they don't do anything and really dumb people can become the smartest if they just work hard enough and yes it is possible to do that so both you should stop to talk about people based on their races
I've seen this a million times over and over and it still feels like the first time. Real genuine brotherly love.
Another person commented that he always hears Eddie as Charlie say "get that money" all the time and now I do too! Lol. That's a motivating statement. We all need a Charlie. ❤️
He truly a genuine soul!!
Dang i really miss Charlie RIP BROTHER 🙏🏿 👏🏿✊🏿👊🏿🙏🏿
He does a great impression of his brother. RIP Charlie Murphy.
No!!! Really!!?????😲😲😲😲😯😯😯😯😯
Always protected his little brother because he knew his little brother was going to be great.
Charlie had me laughing just looking at him. He was hilarious. Eddie's imitation is also very funny.
Charlie was funny and it had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with being Eddie's brother. Charlie on Chappelle show was errthing 😅
What's so funny is that they're both uniquely hilarious...I loved all of those chappelle show characters he did...particularly the black real world.

I love seeing Eddie doing his brother Charlie. In Eddie's early standup, we knew about Charlie, Miss Lillian, Vernon, Aunt Bunny and so many more. It was like losing a member of my own family.
