I commented on a video with the P38. I remember when she first took flight in 2002. Believe it or not we almost didn't get her off the ground in 2002, but Steve was a great pilot surrounded by great mechanics.
Something about the Glacier Girl that not many people knows is? That afternoon, Tom Cruise and John Travolta were in Middlesboro, Ky. that beautiful sunny day.
I know Mr. Shoffner would be smiling from heaven seeing it not in a museum, yet. Parts for that bird was almost impossible. But she's basically 100% original except for a few nuts, and fabric. Glad you still have her, sir. I salute you from, Middlesboro, Ky.
Can't believe it's been 20 years since her maiden flight after restoration. WOW!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍

I love the amount of interviews and "documentaries" coming out of this event. I cant wait to go again next year

5:48 & 6:40 - Gunfighter! Used to be parked next to my dad's C-152 Texas Taildragger in a hangar San Antonio, late 70s or early 80s. Dad secretly let me climb around Gunfighter (carefully) since the P-51 has always been my favorite airplane in the world. I will fly one soon at Stallion 51 Corp.

I have a cousin who is a Marine Aviator and he is still buried with his Corsair near the island of Palau.....I was curious how hard it is to learn how to fly a Corsair...and fyi I was part of the crew that helped
Install that F4F Wildcat at O'Hare
    Airport in honor
Of His CMH flight and I was extremely proud of doing that.
