What asic do you need that you cant find or use a micro for? These people don't make chips, just wafers. One day ill print my own asic with a bit of money and a basment. I have process for getting largest density.

3 inch old process now is 8 inch
Actually 12 inch is state of the art.
Smaller wafers are still being used for research purposes.
What is the difference between 3, 8 and 12?
