I agree with you about clothes, my newer shirts are falling apart faster. And everytime I have a new shirt fall apart, I'm always like "I should just invest in my clothes, get that good quality, even if it costs more" but then it seems like buying a good quality plain white tshirt costs 96 dollars, bring back balance 😭😭 I am seriously eyeballing the anua rice serum, my skin barrier is all over the place with acne treatments and I feel like a good heavy duty skin barrier serum would be a great thing to have, im adding it to my cart

So glad I didn't buy the full sized serum, the cream is on my list to buy when I see a deal.
Hi Alice!! I just watched your top fave hydrating products from two years ago. Could you please do an updated version? 🤗 I have normal to dry skin, 35 yrs old, and just started using Naturium Retinaldehyde Serum 0.05% and am noticing a significant sensation of dryness! Definitely picking up the Byoma hydrating mist that you speak highly of to apply during the day. 💜
Hi Alice! Oh, life is so busy right now - but I just wanted to let you know that I am watching (you seriously make my day with any content you put out)! This is early - but I am getting so excited for Fall and all the good stuff that comes with it (my favorite season - next to Spring! 🌸💮🌹💮🌸). Have a lovely weekend!
Yes, derms do like UPF hats and clothing. Prequel also has a pair of UPF driving gloves. I was watching the ZIIP founder use her (expensive) gel with her device and she said she uses a lot of it, so that Anua seems like a nice priced item for folks who want to do that.
yet another skincare video for my 6 hour homework/study sesh background playlist, also I'd love it if you could review the probio-cica sun ampoule from skin1004! I love the whole probio-cica line already for my night routine and I wanna get the sunscreen but I'm not sure how well it'll work for my oily skin in the morning
I just got that HaruHaru essence in a YesStyle order! I’m SO excited to use it for the first time that I’ve been putting it off so I can keep looking forward to it 😅 also I have so many other toners & essences to use up…
I ❤ the scent of I’m From Fig Cleansing Balm. It makes me feel happy, so I will probably buy the new products. Whenever I buy a foaming gel cleanser I put it in a previously emptied self foaming cleanser bottle (the kind that immediately pumps out lovely foam) and add water, somewhere between 1 part cleanser to 3 parts water and 1 part cleanser to 5 parts water. I love the soft lux foam this creates and I have diluted the product, so it is kinder to my mature dry/dehydrated skin. Also, 150 ml can last me for months.
I bought that Haru Haru essence in my last haul as Haru Haru is one of my favourite brands, I like so many of their stuff. Also, I saw on a Japanese youtube channel that Anua is releasing a while rice line which I am definitely going to get, although Anua from yesstyle does not ship to UK so will have to wait til it comes to a UK site. They used to but stopped for some reason. Numbuzin is also adding a cleanser and a cream to their number 5 line. I was going to get that Im from fig cleanser but it went out of stock and I didn't want to wait, so will probably get it next time as I have not used Im from in a long time

I really wanted to try that Ilia product but it's really expensive here. But the haruharu essence looks very nice. I'm currently using the Manyo panthetoin essence. But the haruharu looks even more milky, I'm definitely going to grab it. I just bought their Phyto & 5 peptide concentrate cream. I love it!

I would actually say Haruharu wins. No need to necessarily rush out and buy it (finish what you have imo) but yep, Haruharu wonder really came through with a “best in category” here!
Another person with very dry skin but oily scalp! Our bodies do produce oil, but just in that one spot! Nowhere else! Oh and I think bucket hats are "in" because of k-fashion. I see kids in my neighborhood wear them often.
I think two companies having the exact same formula seems highly improbable especially factoring in sourcing variations that can create quality differences. That said, with respect to the "exact same formula would be a counterfeit" I'm not sure that is always the case. L'Oréal sued Drunk Elephant based on a patent violations if I recall correctly. Patents are costly and while I won't go exactly into the patent-worth analysis, they require a novel scientific breakthrough and filing within a proper timeframe (unlike copyrights where some protections begin to apply without any official filing). I doubt most companies can/are filing patents on their skincare products and even then the patent won't cover the entire formula most likely, just some element of it. If anything I think the exact details of a formula are more likely protected under trade secret and those protections are damaged with public disclosures like those on an ingredients list. I believe that's why brands are still able to list fragrances as a single component of the ingredients list, so other brands can't copy scent based on the deck. All this said, I still agree with the point that discussion of dupes shouldn't assume an identical deck.
I can't seem to find anything online if Experiment is cruelty free. Therefore I am not willing to buy from them. I have to assume that the are not cruelty free if the don't list it publicly for consumers.
They’re a very small brand, so my guess would be they haven’t paid for the cruelty free certification (those are expensive!) I’d say to send them a message or email for a better explanation
I was so excited to try the fig oil cleanser and foam cleanser but omg the smell is so off putting to me. Both cleanse great but legit smell like my grandmas medicine cabinet
Hi Alice, in terms of skin barrier repairing active ingredients, I think I'm only going to buy an essence or a serum, if lately what I've bought in terms of texture are very similar, for example that essence from Haru Haru Wonder is very similar in texture to the Probio-Cica ampoule from Skin 1004 that I received a few days ago and I thought it was a more viscous serum, do you understand that I don't see the point of buying two such similar products with the same benefits? Unless I buy a serum with active ingredients like vitamin C, retinol, etc. Apart from that, it made me laugh a lot when you announced that Ulta was going to have discounts again, because the retailers there are always on sale, I would love it to be like that in Chile. A hug Alice and I hope you are very well and happy 😘
Oh absolutely. I think it’s SO beneficial to analyze where a product fits into our routine and what it does for us. Otherwise it’s easy to fall into “new product hype”! Just because a product is new (or viral) does not mean we necessarily need to rush out and buy it. Rather, it may be something to consider as an option for replacing a product in our routine down the road! 😊
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I agree, I made the mistake of buying it because it was on sale and it didn't meet my expectations, the Skin&Lab serum is superior 🌷
I'm still bothered by the Birkins. It still feels ridiculous and gross - they're an outrageous amount of money and the other person they gave one to is a paragon of unethical behavior. But yes, I really want to bring back hats! They make really fun and interesting fashion statements while being practical. What's not to love?
I feel that if we keep along this current wealth divide trajectory, luxury as a whole could be seen quite negatively. Can’t have gaping wealth inequality (but…we do. 😥) Hats are so much better -and easier!!- than sunscreen in the hair

@@AliceintheRabbitHole i just purchased!! Can’t wait! Along with a replacement of the toner and 2GF serum. They def have some goodies!
Another person with very dry skin but oily scalp! Our bodies do produce oil, but just in that one spot! Nowhere else!
Oh and I think bucket hats are "in" because of k-fashion. I see kids in my neighborhood wear them often.
Off topic-I found the 2024 ‘report’ on Korean sunscreen testing where Round Lab tested at spf 23 and sent it to your yahoo email.
Thank you!! I was mid replying to you and realized I had to drop everything for a cricket run
But yes thank you!!

"Like they used to be" my favourite part of a sentence. How you know when you're 30+ 😂
Oh good point, thank you for sharing!
Hats!!😄🎉
I can't seem to find anything online if Experiment is cruelty free. Therefore I am not willing to buy from them. I have to assume that the are not cruelty free if the don't list it publicly for consumers.
They’re a very small brand, so my guess would be they haven’t paid for the cruelty free certification (those are expensive!)
I’d say to send them a message or email for a better explanation
Somebody said Ilia?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I was so excited to try the fig oil cleanser and foam cleanser but omg the smell is so off putting to me. Both cleanse great but legit smell like my grandmas medicine cabinet
Haha yep fragrance is SUPER personal. I’d say musk can be a pretty polarizing scent too
@@AliceintheRabbitHole so true!
You’re like if Rapunzel had a TH-cam channel

Hats are so much better -and easier!!- than sunscreen in the hair
The fact that they even though to give a white creator a Birkin and a black creator a cheaper Chanel bag to begin with says it all.
MMM!!
It’s like they figured it out but…also yikes that they had to?
