Truly a top shelf tutorial coupled with your superb teaching skills. I have seen many video,s and you are a gift to us students in the volvo classroom. Thank you and all the best from New Rochelle N.Y.
Little tip for future. If you struggle to remove a rubber pipe, run an angled pick in between the pipe and fitting to break it away. Also on your XC70, remove right side arch liner and have a look around electric power steering pump hoses, they tend to start leaking slowly just as the hose you done on the 240. Great video as always👍
@@volvosweden mine is a D5, I thought all P3’s had electric power steering. Does yours have belt driven power steering pump? If so then you don’t have to check that area.
@@volvoswedenthe line will expand slightly with time and temperature/pressure changes. If it’s still loose after few weeks I would putbsome tape or something between it and the pipe to make sure it doesn’t start rubbing trough that hose with vibrations.
Hi, been watching your videos for years now and now I have my own XC70, anyway the moose you have hanging in your XC, are they still available to buy, saw a video about how to buy but can’t remember which one it was? Thanks
@@volvosweden hey thanks for that some great badges on that site, definitely will be purchasing from there, however the moose I was referring to was the knitted one hanging from your rear view mirror. 👍

Good tips. My xc70 has regular power steering do I still have the line run there?

@@Dalbayob69my 2011 P3 XC70 3.2 has a power steering pump.
Thank you so much. Excellent tutorial as always. Would that magnet be to trap any small bits of metal and keep it out of the system???
0:15 you can jack both wheels up on the subframe.
ATP AT-205 can work well for power steering leaks by rejuvenating the seals.
@14:36 Why 2 copper washers at the top of the banjo fitting instead of 1 on top and another at bottom? Won't seal properly
Magnets are probably there to catch any metal filings from wear of the parts. Like the magnetic drain plug.
Most likely. But now it’s loose on the hose
@@volvosweden you can put some magnetic metal strip below it or even tape. If it is loose it might damage the line, no?

Thanks for the help.
Helpful! About to do mine.
Next front rotors and pads and front bearings. Will be a video
Thank you!
Will new tierods help fix a lot of play or looseness in your steering?
