I had a white one . Bought it in Sweden. When I lived there . Very nice to drive and great for going over and back to ireland on trips. Never let me down, although first gear was a bit hard to get. Nobel car😢
I HAVE OWNED MY 2004 SAAB 95 WAGON/ESTATE SINCE 2008. It's my 5th Saab; 2 wagons, 2 hatchbacks and one sedan (MEH). The 9-5 still runs great though lots of nagging mechanical/electric issues, but I hate to part with it. I used to work on it, but at near 75, not into that anymore. If you want a car in Ft Lauderdale to revive, Im your man
What a beautiful car. Sounds like low mileage, too. My daily driver is a 1990 240DL estate with the automatic. Ma bought it new when she turned 60 which explains the auto gearbox. Arthur is now sitting at 393,000 miles and going strong. One thing to remember with these cars is that the wagons use a different size of tyre. Originally a 185R14 was fitted. After 91, and in older cars needing tyres, the correct size is 195/75R14 unless you run a 15 inch wheel, in which case you need a 296/65R15. I run Michelin Defender 94H on mine. Nice that they are English made.
Nice to see a volvo 245 when the life of 240 ended the 240 last of the was given a number and a little plate and i have one of them my 245 is car number 88 and its running great.
@@richardmackow6990 I don't know much about UK registration numbers I just know that the 240 Torslanda limited edition was only manufactured during the '92 & '93 model year.
I love & still drive my 04' VW Passat GL Wagon (estate). With its 5-Speed transmission and 1.8T AWM motor even 230k on the clock and the sleeper doesn't sip any oil between changes. Strong and dependable if yuh know the weak points & maintain. Being that it was made at the time of custom systems on the side and excess of speed I have about 2k of continous power running through the two sets of component speakers and sub(s) depending on my mood. 😉
8:32 Did he need to use like 5kg of body filler to smooth out that rear quarter after welding the new wheel arch in like that? Overlapped with gaps all over like that is a massive rust trap.
I was just thinking that. It's easier to use spot welding rather than butt welding on a panel like that, but it will likely start rusting under the filler within a few years.
I've got a mk 4.5 mondeo estate the amount of room Is vast. I'm getting a skoda enyaq apparently the boot on the enyaq is actually bigger. I'm not going to lye I do like the higher up driving position and the nice big 235/55/19 tyres
1.Change oil before storage 2. Do NOT start the car during strorage. 3. Empty tank or fill to max and put in special additive in gastank before storage. /the oil guru
#HowToSaveMoneyOnCarRepairs For the injector test...! Hooking up a remote stater and putting the individual injectors in Milk Bottles. Then watching the spray Pattern while you operate the remote starter, is a better test...! 🤔🤔😇😇⚡⚡
The only two mechanics I did like was ed chyna and elvis, now that is not to say that the 2nd who’s name I can’t remember was bad at his job though I just didn’t like him. For a masterclass it’ll always be mr chyna and elvis
To achieve what? If the flywheel engagement is smooth upon clutch action and there is visibly no signs of blueing or fatigue lines on its face, leave it alone.

5:13, that's the gear shifter linkage, not the sensor... The sensor stays on the engine. Why make stuff up like that?
I love estate cars (wagons here in the US).
I really miss these vehicles!
Great stuff as always!
to bad estates/wagons are getting extinct! specialy volvos offerings
These are becoming a rarity in Sweden Due to so many being used back in the -90s to build rally cars and Folkrace. So many used for parts.
the best type of rear suspension , trailing arm suspension , the smoothest ride

How does Elvis do that? He's removing a gearbox and his shirt is always spottless? Edd and Ant got really dirty doing it. Mysterious 😅
Possibly edits and wardrobe changes? lol
It's television m8...
🤣
White t shirt aswell 😂😂
*Teflon.*
Hi Wheeler Dealers. Could you please 🙏🏽 share which companies you used to get the injectors cleaned and decals made up?
He doesn’t need to fix any gears to convince me (Volvo) estates are way better than SUV’s 😊😆
Completely agree!

A "296/65R15"? Are you sure about that?
@@bobjohnson205205/65r 15 most likely
@@AlienLivesMatter 195x65x15 On summer tyres , i did that with winter tyres without studs - worked fine .
I bought a brand new 1980 244DL four speed w overdrive. Sold it WWAAAAAAYYYYY too soon!

@8:19 "When I bought this Volvo 240 40 years of hard ? have made it a bit rough around the edges." That's quite the trick for a 30 year-old car! 🤔
Yes my daily 940 .is a 1991 h reg too ,h was issued in 1990,32 yrs.if its 40 .it would be an x ,or y reg.time travel?🤣🤣

I get he isn't a body guy but you don't puddle weld a wheel arch. And no mention or prep and paint even in the costings
I so miss Edd
Where did you get the panels from?
Where do you buy the side stripes?
Anyone knows the name of the bondo Elvis used on the dash?
Old school wheeler dealers. I like it.
the fuel system was cleaned for not blocked new injectors?
Volvo is the best
Did anybody else notice how he welded that wheel arch? He should be in jail for that monstrosity 😂

The really wierd thing its not have the wipers on the lights in the front left. Why? Here in sweden we have those on our 245s
Maybe because, as Elvis mentioned, it's the Torslanda version, which was the most basic spec of the range.

Great job - loved the GLT of these cracking motor.
I subscribe to both motor trend and discovery and this episode is unavailable? wtf lol
oh volvo and broken injector? its only for cleaning?
This is sustainable automotive use case
isnt it a good a idea to swap that injector around to see if the problems isnt in the fuel line
Thought it was Paul's tool box
When a Spark plug Is wet with controller injection Is Always a injector that has gone bad

Shame it’s SORN now !!!
No Edd, no party !!❤
Total not really accurate as no labour included
£5000 worth ?
Personally I couldn't trust a mechanic in a spotless white T shirt , an expensive watch and no ( motor)oil in his hair.😅
Please say u machined the flywheel....I can't imagine you didn't.

Old Volvos are The best cars ever made.
Well you can keep your US rubbish for yourself
Finally after all these years you know how to pronounce decal ? Not a dekel
