100% Agree! As a kid I remember this awfully tacky yellow and green plaid camper that a friend had and how basic the features were inside of it. Seeing something like this one from Campluxe creates such so much contrast on where this market has come from. Kind of not surprising if you talk with the people who designed this. This company is owned by a couple guys who build hands down some of the most impressive conversion vans I have seen. So they have taken that 'why' and built something much smaller, affordable and well equipped.
Great question, if you visit: www.campluxecabovers.com/ and look under 'Dimensions and Weight' you will see "1100-1400lbs depending on options". In terms of what was done to their trucks suspension, I can't say. Perhaps call them up and that would be a good lead in question.
Absolutely. Just know your limits, trucks limits and how much space you have on the trail. Is this something I would go rock crawling while it's strapped to my truck? No. But many of the roads I travel on, I wouldn't think twice about this. It would be incredible.
Hmmmm, not sure. I'm sure you could fit another panel on the roof perhaps in the back or a couple narrow panels along the outer edge on the roof. Not 100% sure, this would be a good question for manufacture.

Truck campers have come a LONG way!

Did I miss you mentioning, what is the weight of that? Actually the Toyota that is one, what was done to the suspension to get that camper on it?

pretty cool.
Agree!
But can you go offroad with something like that strapped to your rig?
Absolutely. Just know your limits, trucks limits and how much space you have on the trail. Is this something I would go rock crawling while it's strapped to my truck? No. But many of the roads I travel on, I wouldn't think twice about this. It would be incredible.
👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you!
Looking at some of your footage, looks like you could fit another 200W of solar on the roof of that could you not?
