I actually really liked him explaining everything. And for people who know nothing about this game/run it's very informative. Maybe it would've helped if some couch-guy explained 1 or 2 things.
The couch members do not play Jedi Knight so they couldn't possibly explain it

haha yeahh I'm the only active USA runner of this game with the knowledge base to accurately and efficiently explain stuff. I think for most of my runs I'd probably feel most comfortable doing a lot of the commentary, it's a lot harder for me to interact people and keep that level of play. ESPECIALLY when I'm nervous AF (which I so happened to be during this run hahaha)

hahaha yessss!! Right before I came into the scene roll stabbing was sort of the go-to for packing in the most damage and used in a multitude of places. Some epicly awesome runners still use it on Yavin1b on the cultist at the end instead of going for the Aerial and on the saber droid in Yavin2!

Wow I remember watching my dad play this game because I was too scared of the sand creature to play it xD
RIGHT?!?! I used to be ridiculously scared of that level haha every now and then in a run I'll miss a pretty crucial boost and be caught out in the middle of the sand and then the eternal butt clench and screaming returns hahaha

That's exactly what made me fall in love with GDQ when I started watching in 2012 and why I got into speedrunning less than a year ago; what an incredible thing to witness!

Holy cow dude. People like you make me want to get involved in speedrunning.
YESSS!!! DOO IT!! Honestly I progressed really fast because this community is awesome and I put a LOT of time consistently over the past year into the game. I also looooooove learning and refining/improving which makes it easier for me to beat my head against the keyboard to hash it out. Speedrunning is like a self-critical artist in an art gallery; looking on other peoples works will find inspiration and appreciation of nuance; but when you look on your own work flaws and incorrect methodology hit you in the face. Gotta enjoy the process of crafting the run or you will end up resenting and hating the act of doing it overall.

I've been sorta probing games that I might be interested in speedrunning, but I've got a lot of stuff I have to do (like studying).

Even as a casual play this game is amazing, the lightsaber combat is arguably the best to date as long as you're on pc, and yet still on controller it could be the best. The modding community is huge aswell there's a mod called movie battles that let's you play through all the movies even letting you play as Anakin during order 66(yes that one part too). It's a must play for any star wars fan

Been watchin GDQs since 2012 and man, this run is definitely in my top 5. The energy and geniune enjoyment in what you do is awesome.

Awesome guy, very informative of what he's doing, hasn't got an annoying voice and he's straight to the point with little to no fuck ups and 'ums' in his speech. Very entertaining to watch.
It's amazing what 5 years does for a speedrun route.
I don't know if anyone will read this but on Hoth 3 there is a faster way to defeat the boss. Use the Tauntaun and charge right into her. 1 hit kill. You reach her faster too.

Back to see this again after his Outcast run in SGDQ'17 (literally just finished on stream) He's so hype I need more.
I really appreciated him telling us what parts of the run were really hard and what we should be impressed by, because I honestly didnt know. He did it a very non-gloating manner, and it made the game-play more interesting.
