How were you able to get the wire harness to fit into the receiver box? I'm having issues with wires not being long enough to put the water seal cap on and the plugs are under the motor and causing issues with fitment and rear diff lock
Either I'm doing something wrong or the servos I have are not good but I have a max8g2 hobbywing system in my summit with the bec at 6v to not burn out my shift servos and the steering is still weak.
Thank you for being so informative. I dropped Traxxas support info on this and they replied not to use a dual servo setup. Go figure right? Anyhow, instead of doing a power tap from the battery on the ESC side, anything wrong if I decide to tap from the other battery instead? Currently I have a telemetry expander tapped to that battery(below esc) already
I don’t think so but honestly I can’t remember if the two batteries combine inside of the ESC to make it 4s Honestly I would hook one battery to the wires I’m talking about and then use a voltmeter to see if they’re interfering on the other wires. I seem to remember some thing about reading an article somewhere about hooking to those wires and causing a ground loop but honestly that might’ve been something to do with the BEC set up I can’t rightfully remember.
They say not to use a dual servo considering it comes with it that’s kind of interesting. Well I’ve spoken to some people at traxxas that are really really good and I have spoken to a few that I don’t think I’ve ever driven a car
@@LargeeeScaleLife Yeah, seems like it should combine in the ESC for a 4s output, but then again really scarce details on the ESC. Will try to avoid a grounding loop, and go with your suggestion to do a power tap on the other connector instead
@@LargeeeScaleLife Hmm, Traxxas support had a write up on a single servo conversion which is for the E-Revo/Summit. Apparently #2255 servo can take that abuse, perhaps I'll give that a go and see how it turns out. But I agree with you, why even market it with dual servos in the first place 🤔
Traxxas electronics are trash. Well at least for the summit. Bought a new one and less than 2 months of very light use. Servos broke and their customer support won't do anything and wants you to buy parts to replace which was the downer about the whole thing. After buying the servos like yours I found that the esc is trash too! I am really getting disillusioned with Traxxas. Point is I can afford to upgrade the summit but if your a kid with not allot of money and bought your first summit and it breaks, your out of luck to you manage to get more funds not to mention the downtime to you get all the parts to fix it.
I hate to hear that happened to you. Honestly, I have three full-size summits and one of the 1/16 scale summit and honestly I haven’t really had a problem with any of the electronics except one of the ESC actually burnt up on one but that was absolutely my fault. it got messed up due to a wiring issue of my own doing. Now that being said their servers are junk. But also 99% of factory cars have craft service. Now does Traxxas have some things to be desired in their electronics? Yes, but all in all I think they’re decent and honestly their customer service has been really good to me so for now I know some people have had issues and I hate you did as well. Honestly, they should’ve just sent you some new servos and let it be at that. If nothing else to keep you happy that’s what I would’ve done. Sorry you had that issue. Don’t let it get you disillusion with the summit it’s a great truck.

I doubt you do that servo can probably easily be powered by the internal BEC of the 1080 it’s actually relatively strong and I think it can run up to about 5 A. Unless you’re having some flashing issues or your lights Deming under hard load I think you’re probably OK
After my Delorean build I may look at getting into one of these!
It’s a deep black hole to fall into but I absolutely love it and hey it’s probably cheaper than the DeLorean

How are you transporting it? I'm looking for a backpack for mine.
How did you get your diff lock servos setup with flysky receiver? I can't set up my channel mixing properly :(
Getting now a BEC on my Summit as well. The Savox I have are a bit too hungry for the esc. You can see it in my videos with the LT conversion...

Should have just showed how you actually wired it up instead of trying to explain it.
