    I've been under a rock for most of my life so I'm just learning about Snapseed and have been watching tons of videos to learn the ins and outs of the software and it's a complete game changer. It's so powerful and fun to use. I'm still learning how to do double exposures. I'm still trying to get my head around it.

    Wow, that selective adjustment brush tool sure is well hidden! I love Snapseed but had no idea that was even possible. Great video! I wouldn't mind seeing more Snapseed content, like a workflow video for example.

      That feature has been removed, sadly :(. the original brush tool is still there, however. but no brushing for clarity/structure

    I am older and trying to learn about all the features of my phone and apps. I really like how you slowed down your tutorial and expanded the boxes for your viewer to see exactly what you doing. There are people who view contents and already have the prerequisite skills and there are others who need that extra supports. Your voice is very calming and easy to understand. Thank you!!

    I’ve been using photoshop mobile for my go to, Snapseed was a little intimidating. Now that I’ve watched tutorial videos on it, it may be my new go to. Thank you for your amazing tips and tricks.

    I've been a long time photoshop user but am using snapseed now for 90 percent of my photos, just as I'm not using me DSLR so much, a mobile phone can do so much,so well nowadays, incredible!

    That was a super informative video. I am just beginning to learn and discover the various features of snapseed and that selective brush one was really something well hidden. Thanks for highlighting it. Would love more such videos on snapseed editing

    I like them both! I usually use snapseed for more selective editing and healing while lightroom is excellent for color editing of the overall image personally. This is a great video! I learned so much!!

    i've been a snapseed user for years and during that time have bought any of the fancy and featured photo apps that have come out, up to Affinity.. but i still keep coming back to snapseed 95% of the time- it is just so quick versatile and easy and gives me great results.. if i want a bit of mood in my shots i'll use mextures also.

    Really helpful tip at the end! I use Snapseed, Lightroom Mobile, and PS Express. When I travel I just plug a card reader into my phone and edit RAW files that way. it's pretty dang effective and all I need on 90% of my shots. it's worth it to leave the computer at home! thanks for the video. The selective editing tip helped a lot.

    I use both depending on my need. I like the fact that snapseed has the brush and allows these kinds of edits. But i like Lightroom for the HSL color management. and that it has the highlight/whites shadows/darks to play with.

    What do you think about the raw converter. How much difference is there to do the raw convertation in lightroom?
    So can i get much more out of my raw in lightroom than in snapseed?

  • @CarolineFarrow
    @CarolineFarrow 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I like how my photos look better with lightroom but if I need the healing tool or selective editing I use snapseed and lightroom. My phone won't do RAW so I can only compare jpgs with RAW it might be different.

    Great tutorial. Love using Snapseed. I do use Darkroom+ which has general masks which are easier but its a bit buggy or chosen mask not selected correctly, Snapseed is more refined. So using both together is my way of processing but I do miss LR, had the standalone from start to finish but find subscription way too expensive, almost double to the original LR. Thanks for sharing.

    • @photorectoby
      @photorectoby  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep - exactly how I feel about LR mobile - clunky and slow :(

    • @elliotstern8582
      @elliotstern8582 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree on LR mobile. It is better since the last upgrade with the added brush and gradient tools but you still have to jump around between it and Fix to get work done. Sync does not always kick in and that is a problem because that was the main reason I got it.

      @francescomanfredi 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      greysuit17 yes I love Polarr and I bought it, but how does it compare to snapseed? With the latter including face tools and local adjustments for free does Polarr still worth 19$ in your opinion?

    • @greysuit17
      @greysuit17 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Francesco Manfredi it's my favorite editing app. All of them do something or better that some can't but I think Polarr is totally worth it. They update frequently and seem to listen to their users. I think it renders jpg better than most apps. Unfortunately it can't handle RAW but hopefully soon.
