Sweet...Can we get Jordi's feedback about the coil he's running on the Tallboy since Santa Cruz states the Tallboy is not compatible with a coil shock.
@@FoxoneUSA He is probably running a pre-production Cascade Racing VPP link (they make them for the Bronson so it can utilize a coil) and they offer a touch more travel than stock, when used with the stock shock stroke. That's why he's saying '120-ish mm of travel'. Just a hunch!
@jdang307 that makes sense too. As long as you've got tire to seat tube clearance at full bottom you're good to go. A few people were doing that with the stock Megstower link in place. Just over stroking the shock a touch 👍
Love Dialed!!!! Obsessed with Jordi and all the athletes he works with. XC mtb racing, Jordi and Dialed fueled my love for suspension so much that Im completely changing my career from hospitality to applying at Fox Factory in El Cajon.
Another great vid! I'd like to hear Jordi's thoughts on how fork setup should differ for a hardtail compared to a dually. Thanks, and keep the great iso content rolling!
Loving ‘Dialed’! Question, can Jordy please come to Sheffield, UK to set up both my bikes? I promise to learn all of Loris’s feedback noises and language to make things more simple for him. Cheers FOX! Keep up the amazing work!
Jordi, I own a 2020 Team XTR Pivot Shuttle that comes with a DPX2 and just ordered a Float X2, Should I have gotten the DHX2? I'm 190 with gear and come from BMX and moto background and love jumping, should I consider also getting a coil shock, and the new 38 forks?
Jordi what`s your thought on the Marshy "throwdown" technic? A bike that doesn`t bounce off the ground equals a good suspension setting? keep on the great work your videos are DIALED!!
Nice video ! I think people tend to overthink their set up. I have a 2021 36 on my bike and when your sag is well set, the feeling is always good. Yes it is really tunable but it s almost impossible to have it feel wrong. Great fork 🤘🦊.
Awesome videos guys keep them coming. Question for jordi I’m running a fox 36 rhythm with grip damper and it’s making a sound under compression like a loud oil pressure relief valve letting go is this normal.? Suspension has been serviced by local shop and noise went away, but has come back after around 20 hours of riding?
What would you recommend for a specialized Levo ebike? I'm currently running a Fox 36 2019. 160mm travel. I'm looking at the new version 36 or 38 at 160mm. But there is just no info on the 38 vs the 36 for an aggressive trail geometry Levo ebike, with downhill carbon rims(We are ones) I am in the Utah mountains, i ride hard for a 43 yr old and will regularly do moderately sized jumps and drop offs. But do not race. I'm 185lbs, 5'11". Will I be giving up small bump sensitivity on the 38? Weight is not an issue, what would be the pros and cons of each for my situation?
Watching some of the episodes of `Dialed` I've noticed that riders will come to Jordi with adjustments of 1 click, or 2 psi. Do you think that small differences like that actually add up to something noticeable on the track, or is it part of a racing ritual to hep riders feel prepared / placebo effect?
I just ordered an XL Scott Gambler 920, and the spring that comes on there is a 500lb spring, I am a 180ish pound rider and the spring rate calculator you linked said I should run a 350lb spring for 30% sag. However in the Pinkbike review for the bike, Mike, who is a 160lb rider, rode a 475lb spring, am I entering something wrong, is the calculator wrong, or is that right? What spring rate would you recommend for a rider my weight looking to race DH on the gambler?
Hey, I have a new fox factory 36 grip2 (2020 not 2021 model) and it makes a suction noise when it rebounds. It rebounds just fine, however my 2018 factory 36 Grip fork did not make that noise. Is there something wrong or is that noise normal with the new grip 2?
Loving the series.... my question would be, although you give advice to riders and their preferences, is it easy to stay neutral? As in "so and so is running this" dispute my advice...to another rider??
I've got fox 36 Float supension on my 2019 Mega. I have a problem. There is a shake I can't put my finger on. So I knelt front of bike and lifted bottom shock and bounced wheel nothing. I then did the same with the top of the forks ie Air and setting. And hey presto the worst rattle. Does anyone know what this could be. It's not the wheel or axle it's on the fork. I'm reluctant to release the air and pump again as I'm new to the tech. Help me please lol
You're getting a rattling inside of the fork itself or around the crown or the steering tube or lowers? I don't understand what part of the fork you're trying to describe. Is it the upper or lower part of the fork? Also don't worry about releasing the air in the fork as long as you have a pump, you won't hurt anything in the fork. Riders change and fiddle with pressures all the time. Just follow what Jordi says in this vid and cycle the fork when changing air pressures.
Sorry for the confusion, holding the bottom of the suspension beside wheel axle both sides, and the top where the suspension fork meets the frame. I've been in touch with fox who say they will inspect it under warranty. I'll try the air out and back in first. Thanks chicken

steve robinson thanks mate. Yes been there lots. Great short runs.
Can you go through why you would set your sag at 15-20% and not closer to 30%.
Also the rear shock as well.
Thanks
Can I use my 2020 Kabolt on my 2021 36 or do I need the new Kabolt-X? You guys are awesome!

Tallboy with a coil and a 36!!
is the new grip 2 with vvc coming to the 34?
JORDI killing it.

@@koreanmtnbiker2931 it was the grip 2. I actually sold the bike . The fork was awesome but a bit tricky to tune.

I'm already starting to look back at these pandemic videos and thinking we did what we were forced to do, but simulated intimacy sucked.
Question on counting clicks. Is fully clockwise click 1 or is the first click counter clockwise click one? Love the series right now guys!
Id like to know this too! Start from 1 or 0?!
can Jordi tell us anything about the new 2021 shocks
DHX2 on a Tallboy... like
Note the "120-ish" comment with a smirk from Jordi... hahah... It doesn't come in a 190x45... So wonder what he's running... ???
Will the new 36 come out with air springs longer then 160mm or will we need to buy a 38?
Haggis have one leg longer than the other, was this inspiration? Did you take any other inspiration from the animal world?

After setting baseline sag, rebound, and compression. Does jordi start bracketing the fork first or the shock first or both at the same time?
Ron Gorski id work on one for a bit then the other. As each change will make the opposite end feel different as well
Great work you guys rule 🤟👍🍺
Q for Jordi: which one of the rebound knobs is the most active adjustment to fiddle with when tuning on the trails?

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!!!????
Any updates to the DPX2?
Jordi can you do a in-depth video on dh bike suspension setup
Theo Dounis it’s no different than setting up anything else
Wait...he say he has a 140mm 36 in Rootbeer?!?! when is that availabe to us peasants 🤯
You could just get the 150mm or 160mm then change out the air spring to a 140mm
Their air springs are inexpensive (I believe around $30USD). So you can go from 140-170mm on a 36 on a 29er, and 140-180mm on a 27.5.
