- Daniel 8 is the remarkable prophecy predicting the rise of an enemy of God's people later fulfilled in a man named Antiochus - but ultimately yet to be fulfilled in a man often known as the Antichrist.

Yeah but if this is a false teaching ..who are the wicked? The first part of Daniel 8 and the last part of Daniel 8 are the same guy!
I am a student of end-times study. This is a wonderful and clear explanation of what Daniel Chapter 8 says. a message of urgency !
Yeah but he didn't tell you the truth the first part. Of Daniel 8 is the same as the last. Antiochus epiphanes is not even written about in The book of Daniel. He didn't do what Jesus told him to do in Matthew 24:15!
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

What are you talking about? The fake Jews (see Revelation 2:9 and 3:9) are the ones to panic about the book of Daniel. We Muslims are very happy and excited that the Ancient of Days -- also known as Prince Michael Elijah Imam Al Mehdi -- is about to emerge before the world and that the true holy kingdom is to be established. I don't think you understand the book of Daniel at all.

Why because it is in Daniel 9:27 ..where those numbers come. From. Daniel 8 can't be understood unless you understand all of the book of Daniel on the (abomination of desolation )..(as Jesus Christ told you )in Matthew 24:15. Until you do that.

It is 1150 days or 2300 Sacrifices taken away (Pssst, its not a profane meat sacrifice, its the twice Daily Tribute on Jesus that is taken away, REMEMBER, we see 1/3 of the Jews repent in Zech. 13:8-9 THEN the DOTL arrives in Zech. 14:1, so Israel repents and 5 million Jews serve Jesus in the Temple, cleansing the Temple at the coming 1335 (Two-witnesses) but the False Prophet (a Jewish High Priest like unto Jason un der Antiochus) will forbid Jesus worship at the 1290 and place an IMAGE of the E.U. President in the Temple ( Israel Covenant or AGREEMENT is simply them joining the E.U.) and that gives the Jews who repent the SIGN (AoD) to flee Judea 30 days before the 1260 Beast conquers Israel. You see those three Numbers (1335, 1290 and 1260) are all a set number of days until the 2nd Comings *ENDS ALL THESE WONDERS* as seen in Dan. 11:36-45. The Anti-Christ rules for 1260 days, the 1150 days (2300 Twice Dailies) fits inside his 1260 days.

What hole did he fill. ?The first part of Daniel 8 is just being shown the second time.. and additional pieces added. The second half of Daniel 8. it is not about antiochus of epiphany. Otherwise he would have explained the 2300. There are those of us that understand what that means.!
@@JamieElison , hello testy turtle, been awhile since I looked at this. History repeats, Antiochus is antichrist ‘type’ and fits the timeline. Antiochus was time of Maccabees, he desecrated the temple. That will happen again per Revelation (last Antichrist). The temple will be rebuilt. There is math involved, times, time, half a time.
There are many that don’t think Daniel is referring to Antiochus at all. He is speaking about Antiochus AND the End of the End times (Rev).
This is exactly what the Lord has been teaching me. I appreciate this teaching.

No it's not and the reason you don't know it. is you don't know what it's saying in Daniel 9:27. Revelation chapter 11 or Daniel 11 from 21 to the end ..it can't possibly be ..Antiochus of epiphany.. ... because the days do not match..( and what he does does ..not match)...

I landed here because I had a dream where I was sitting and reading a bible, Daniel chapter 8 and I woke up and read the chapter but was blank until I watched this teaching. 🙏

The Prophecy from beginning to end in Daniel 8 is about the Antichrist in its entirety.. noticed he could not explain the 2300 days( starting point an the ending point which is past history so he should know that if he's going to explain it with the 2300 days attached to it .they need to be perfect. notice the angel Gabriel is told to explain that the first part of this prophecy to Daniel to have him understand it ..then Gabriel is repeating the whole thing.. and adding additional pieces( to clarify the subject) it's all about the( same guy) it's not about two different guys! Antiochus epiphanes is not written about in The Book of Daniel ...I know every prophecy on this guy Old and New Testament I've studied this for fifty years. I know exactly what those 2300 represent as pertaining to the Antichrist at the end of time.. what I'm showing you is he didn't tell you the truth ..about 35% of what he said about the Antichrist is true ..but Jesus in Matthew 24:15 tells you to come to the Book of Daniel to understand the abomination of desolation.. it's written five times in the chapters chapter 8 chapter 9 chapter eleven and chapter 12 all about the same guy ..I could explain everything in detail down to the colon marks on this subject.. so I'm very saddened when I see these preachers coming out of Seminary indoctrinated to a certain line of thinking ..that's not true. just wanted you to understand Daniel 8 is about the Antichrist at the end of time!

Brothers and sisters. you need to rightly divide God word (2 Tim 2:15) We are at the close of the church age dispensation and Paul our apostle for the church age tells us in Thes 1:4-8 that Jesus will come for the church (the born again believers in Christ Jesus) at the pre-tribulation rapture not the second coming. Going through the 70th week (Jacobs trouble and 3-1/2 of the great tribulation of years is not comfort as Paul tells us the pre tribulation is comfort. Think about this!!! Peace in Jesus.

If you read ch 7 of Daniel, you can see that it encapsulates all of Gods story from Babylon to the end of time. Ch 8 is a microcosm of a period within Daniel 7 timeline. This is why it makes no sense that the little horn of Daniel 8 is Antiochus Epiphanes. I used to think that too, but it just isnt possible - Daniel 7 alone proves this, and other reasons more personal to the little horn himself.

This teaching was great until he mentioned the pre trib rapture although he didn't say pre trib, but he implied that the rapture is an escape from the tribulation, which is not biblical.

Antiochus IV (Epiphanes), the king of Syria, captured Jerusalem in 167 BC and desecrated the Temple by offering the sacrifice of a pig on an altar to Zeus (the Abomination of Desolation). In this way, he defiled the Temple and committed blasphemy and caused the Temple to be defiled.
The Antichrist will defile the Temple when he goes into it and proclaims to be God.

I'm struggling a little bit with his interpretation of the 2,300 days I noticed he did not explain those days with the antiochus epiphanes view of Daniel 8 understanding what happened back there does have a (parallel )but I don't think you need to go there because he said it was for the( time of the end) and the end is not yet come personally I believe the 2,300 days are in reference to a time that's actually described there if you read those words in that verse described that the Antichrist would actually make an agreement for one seven . Daniel 9:27 it would appear to me instead a Temple would be built in that one seven from the point of the time that the temple would be complete and the (gentiles would be able to trample it underfoot) now if you look where it starts describing the beginning of the 2300 days to me that makes more sense would be a time period Starting prior to that 1,260 days that is discribed as In the midst of that time. like in the beginning of the temple being built to the end or the cleansing of it.

I believe it is days. So convert 2300 into years. And like the person said, ÷ it. It'll come down to roughly 3.5 years. The same average found in revelation to the amount of time the years of tribulations will last. But please don't just take my word for it. Look into it yourself.. God bless you..

Hey Pastor, to my understanding, you didn’t really talk about when the cleansing of temple really happened. 2300 day as you claim is only roughly about 6 years and there i no way Christ fulfilled that, he wasn’t even on the scene. So please explain the 2300 days when they start and end. They cannot be outside if the Grecia empire, so if you could tell me when the date start and when it ends it will help me to have a better understanding.
Also, I appreciate that you accept Daniel is a prophetic book. I am away Daniel 2,7,8 ,9,11 &12 are all prophecies. Therefore wouldn’t it make sense for coherence?

The temple was cleansed and rededicated in 165 BC by Judas Maccabeus. This event is what the Jewish holiday Hanukkah celebrates. I believe that the timing is that Antiochus defiled the temple for 3 years (the Hebrew text can be read as 2300 / 2= 1150).
The temple was desecrated and the sacrifices were stopped for 1,150 actual days, two sacrifices per day, from 167 BC to 164 BC. The original scripture states, "Unto 2,300 evenings and mornings (suspended sacrifices), then the sanctuary will be cleansed" (and the sacrifices will resume). It means evening and morning sacrifices. Read the question in Daniel 8:13. The translators misunderstood the meaning of "evenings and mornings", and thought it meant two 12-hour periods, so they mistakenly put the word "days", causing people to think it is one of the "day for a year" prophecies. William Miller and the 7th-day Adventists make that mistake. I was raised as a 7th-day Adventist, and they are right about the 7th-day Sabbath (Saturday) still being in effect, and are right about other things, but this and some other things they are wrong about. Also, where it talks about the "prince of the host", it does not mean God, as this pastor teaches. The host is the Jewish people, when Antiochus occupied, and who is the "prince" (hero) of the Jewish people? MOSES. Antiochus told them, "You will no longer pay attention to Moses, you will do what I say", magnifying himself above the "prince of the host". He also conquered all of Egypt, except Alexandria. When he was on his way to finish the conquest of Alexandria, a Roman detachment intercepted him and told him, "If you continue against Alexandria, you will be at war with the Roman Empire". He said, "Let me consult with my generals". The Roman drew a circle around him in the sand and said, "You will give us your answer before you step out of this circle". He then retreated and went back to Jerusalem. Thus, the saying, "Line in the sand", or "Circle in the sand".
Yes the 2300 days are very relevant. They were there for a reason. Please re-evaluate this verse and look at when they start and end
I just compared this presentation of Daniel 8 with one given by Walter Veith. I must say that Walter uses so much more biblical and historical references to explain his position on this, that it would only be fair to compare the two views before sticking to one interpretation.

That word Daniel used means "passovers". Not days or half of them or anything similar. This could actually be translated as years of passovers.

The final antichrist will come forth from ancient Nineveh called Mosul by the western world but called Al MAWsil, Iraq by the islamic world. This is found in Nahum 1:11. The chapter ends by ensuring the reader understands that this is the last antichrist to ever pass through Judah again. That is a reference to what he will do mentioned in Daniel 11:40b. 1. The little horn came up among ten horns(7:8):: Antiocus IV did not come up among ten Hellenistic kings.
2. Three horns were plucked out before it(v.8):: There is no historical evidence that Antiochus uprooted three kingdom.
3. The little horn became greater than his fellows(v10)::Antiochus was not greater than the other kings in his time. In fact, the presence of thr Roman ambassador Pipiius Laenad, without an army, was sufficient to cause Antiochus IV to withdraw from Egypt. Sleleucus I and Antiochus III the Great were definitely greater Syrian king than Antiochus IV.
4. The saints were to be given into his hands for three-and-a-half times/ years(v.25):: According to 1 Maccabees 1:54; 4:52-54, the desecration of the temple lasted only three years and ten days. According to 2 Maccabees 10:3-4, the desecration of the temple lasted only two years.
5. As indicated, there appears to be a definite progression of increasing greatness from Medo-Persia to Greece to the little horn(8:4,8,9, etc.).:: Antiochus IV's kingdom was not greater than Medo-Persia or Greece.

It has nothing to do with the United States, and is only talking about the other side of the world, the first four kingdoms. Daniel 8:5-8 is talking about Daniel's vision of when he saw, in his future, the Greek empire (the single horn represents Alexander the Great), represented by the male Goat with one horn. The Ram represents Medo-Persia, where the Persians were stronger in the alliance, which is why one horn is higher and comes up last (Persia). The male Goat wipes out the Ram, as the Greek Empire decimated the Medo-Persian empire. The four horns that came up after the single horn fell represents the four generals who divided up the Greek empire into four kingdoms at the death of Alexander the Great.

The original scripture states, "Unto 2,300 evenings and mornings (meaning suspended sacrifices), then the sanctuary will be cleansed (and the sacrifices will resume), which the suspended two-sacrifices per day was from 167 BC to 164 BC, stopped by Antiochus. Also, the term "prince of the host" means MOSES, since the host was the Jewish people (even though they were not willing hosts), and who is the prince (hero) of the Jewish people? MOSES. Antiochus told the Jews, "You will no longer pay attention to Moses, you will do what I say", "magnifying himself above the "prince of the host". Also, there is nowhere in the Bible that indicates that a temple will be built in our future. Paul meant that he CONSIDERS himself to sit in the temple of God, and the Pope CONSIDERS himself to sit in the temple of God in Rome. Daniel 9:27 is talking about Jesus confirming a covenant with many for one week (7 years), not some future antichrist. He was doing pretty good until he got to about 20 minutes when he made two serious errors. One was not his fault because of the 1844 and the 2300 days. But the other mistake was his fault. The dedication or Hanukkah is not a cleansing of the Temple. Passover is the temple cleansing feast day. Hanukkah is dedication not cleansing. Therefore what he said is not true and the temple was not cleansed by the Messiah.

The 1844 error belongs to William Miller because he chose the wrong starting date. He chose the starting date based on the decree by the king when he should have chose the starting date when they started to make the daily sacrifice again. The second coming of the Messiah was 1884. Good day...there are 2 other interpretation of Daniel and Revelation. This one is called Pre-terist. We see where Jesus use question and answer to give light to the truth of the word when he ask; if David called him Lord, how is he is son? Matt 22:45. Using the same principle: if Antiochus is the antichrist, how is it Paul says 2 Thess 2:3, there will be a falling away first(of the Church) 167BC of Antiochus was way before the Christian Church. That makes it impossible for antichrist to be Antiochus when haven't been born as yet. Antichrist is to set up in place of Christ and make wars against Christians not Jews. Warring against Jews would be anti- Jew, Jews don't believe in Christ and if they do, no need to look to a 3rd temple to resume animal sacrifice, Christ is ultimate sacrifice. Ask yourself why 10 of the 11 remaining (after Judas' betrayal) disciples were executed because of their Christian faith, as attested confidently by historical sources. To quote Sean McDowell of Peter: ''The early, consistent and unanimous testimony is that Peter died as a martyr;" and of the martyrdom of the disciples as a whole: "It shows the depth of the apostles’ convictions. They were not liars. They truly believed Jesus rose from the grave and they were willing to give their lives for it." They needed only to deny their faith to be saved, but did not. Would you seriously die for something that you know wasn't true? These men died fully believing in their contact with the risen Christ. If you'd like to research more on the martyrdom of Peter, you can research (amongst other sources) 1st Clement.
Some have theorised that they merely had hallucinations, but this isn't true for 4 reasons:
1) The theory does not explain the empty tomb
2) Multiple people shared in group-visions of Jesus
3) They had group-conversations with the risen Christ
4) They touched Jesus and ate with him, which is impossible with a hallucination. The gospel of John speaks of Thomas physically touching Jesus' wounds to prove to himself he was real! And we can know the gospel’s are reliable. Papias - a contemporary of the apostle John, wrote that the gospel of Mark was based on Peter’s eye-witness testimony; and that Matthew and John were indeed Jesus’ disciples.
