- Daniel 11 is one of the most complicated chapters in the Bible, because it gives such amazingly specific prophecy that was later fulfilled in the rise of later kingdoms that ruled over the Promised Land.

Studying the book of Daniel and specifically Chapter 11:1-45 & had the same revelation as the gentlemen speaking, but he goes into detail!!!! I’m just amazed. And this sermon was 4 years ago, he speaks as if it’s all happening today!!! God bless you sir.

I don't agree with his interpretation of Daniel 11:45. Everything in this chapter is historical not hypothetical and looking back lots of people feel that chapter 11 was added later on because it's so historically accurate. I do not believe that , I believe God knew exactly what would happen and he told us. Read Daniel 11:45 for yourself keeping in mind that Daniel did not use the words"tabernacles of his palace" he actually used a Persian word"Apadana" . Bible interpreters thought he was talking about the look of the building because the Apadanas in Sousa we're just pillars with curtains hanging from them. They interpreted this tent or tabernacle, but Daniel had that word in Hebrew and he could've used it. He didn't though because what he saw in vision wasn't the appearance of the building , but its use. The Apadana's were used to entertain political guests and as a headquarters for the Persian army since their capital of Persepolis was so far away from their newly acquired Babylonian territory. Today , we refer to that as an embassy. So who just planted (established) an embassy between the Mediterranean and Dead Sea in Jerusalem and then came to his end and none of his constituents did anything to help him? When you're done reading verse 45 go to Daniel 12:1 for what happens next. God does nothing except he reveals it to his prophets and his people.

Antiochus Epiphanes being a TYPE of the anti-christ makes sense, because when Jesus talks about the abomination of desolation, he is already in the period where Rome dominates the Holy Land and no longer Greece, yet he speaks in Matthew 24 of the abomination of desolation as something that is still in the future, which means there is more than one fulfillment of that
Revelation talks about the beast who once was now is not and is yet to come. Could he be Antiochus reincarnate?

@@bonniebellows1792 that makes sense, because Nimrod was the founder of the first cities of what would eventually become Babylon, and Babylon is symbolized in three chapters of Revelation, that being chapter 14, 17 and 18, and we know that literal Babylon was destroyed by the Medes and Persians, who were later overtaken as a world empire by Greece and then Rome, and it was during the time of Roman domination that the New Testament was written. I think the book of Daniel can give us important clues to the book of Revelation, because many of the symbols are taken from there, and Daniel was written when the Israelites were in captivity in Babylon
@@godfreybett1370 it is talking about the Papacy. The Papacys deadly wound is almost completely healed. That wound occurred in 1798 when France took the Pope off the throne and he died in captivity. The Vatican lost is political power and its armies of civil powers. Protestantism is going back to Rome effectively undoing the reformation and we are seeing the power being returned to the 1st beast. God bless!

Check out Dan 8.19 it seems to refer to " the time of wrath " as the time it will happen.

I do not agree with his interpretation of Daniel 11:45 . Bible interpreters wrote "Tabernacle's of his palace" but Daniel actually used a Persian word there in the Hebrew text . He use the word "Apadana". Daniel had the words tent and tabernacle in Hebrew but he chose to use a Persian word because it better described what he was seeing in vision. Historically speaking when Persia came in and took over Babylon their capital was in Persepolis and it was too far away to rule the new acquired territory from. They set up temporary throne rooms to entertain political guests and rule from at Sousa and Babylon. Daniel was familiar with the one at Susa. The interpreters thought he meant the look of the buildings because they were simply pillars with curtains dividing the rooms. They interpreted that as tents. Today , however we call these embassies. So what verse 45 is actually telling us is the one who establishes an Embassy in Jerusalem will come to an utter end and none of his constituents will help him. Interesting isn't it?

Listening to this today and in amazement of what is happening today. Pastor David nailed it.
When he mentioned how God shows a smaller part of a prophesy to happen first before a larger part in visions , that struck a fimilar string in my spirit because God deals with me in visions that way. Its just nice to know that God still deals with his people even me in the same prophetic way as Daniel and other Holy Historical Biblical figures.

It's amazing how it's a prophesy for more than one time period. It's a proven example of things that came to pass then and things to pass in our future as well.
The beginning of this exposition is excellent. However we need to understand that Chapter eleven is just a review and enlargement of the previous prophetic chapters of Daniel. As we saw the 4 successive kingdoms in chapters 2, 7, 8, ( Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome) so we see the same four kingdoms in chapter eleven. The text also give us pointers. Antiochus Epiphanes does not appear in any of the previous chapters and he doesn't feature in chapter eleven. The King of the North changes from the Seleucids to Roman, when Rome conquers Greece.
Verse 20 - Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
This raiser of taxes, as Luke 2:1 tells us, is Caesar Augustus. "And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed." This verse takes us to the birth of Jesus. Augustus died of natural causes, "neither in anger, nor in battle'.
Verse 21 - And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. Augustus' successor was his adopted son Tiberius Caesar who was indeed a 'vile person', who allegedly delighted in murders, tortures and sexual orgies. Jesus, the 'prince of the covenant' was 'broken' or crucified under his reign. (verse 22)
Pagan Rome then gives way to Papal Rome and up to Verse 30 takes us through the crusades. (Not enough time to go into details here).
Verse 31 -And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
Jesus referred to this verse in Matthew 24:15 - When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) (See also Luke 21:20).
This shows this event was still future in Jesus' time . Jesus was born under Roman rule so this could not be Antiochus because he was Greek and long gone as by this time the Romans had taken over from the Greeks.
In AD 70, the Romans did set up the abomination of desolation in Jerusalem. Luke explains it as Jerusalem being surrounded by armies. "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh." The Romans Sacked Jerusalem in AD 70 and the desolation was worse than anything that had happened to Jerusalem before.
The later verses take us through persecution off God's people by the Papacy in the Dark Ages through to the Time of Trouble(Chapter12:1) but there's not enough time to go through all the verses here. Just bear in Mind that just as the previous prophetic chapters takes us up to the time of Christ's return and to the earth made new, so does chapter 11:1-12:4

Daniel 11:37 ESV
37 He shall pay no attention to the gods of his fathers, or to the one beloved by women. He shall not pay attention to any other god, for mhe shall magnify himself above all.
It says in the end of years this prophecy will be fulfilled I don't believe the abomination of desolation happened yet because after the abomination of desolation will be set up that's when the people of God shall be delivered everyone found written in the book of Life!

Concerning chapter 11-
The contents of the vision in this chapter concern the destiny of Israel from the last part of the kingdom of Persia to the last three and a half years of the present age, even extending to the kingdom age anx eternity, as the truth that was inscribed in the writing of truth (10:21), told to Daniel by the angelic messenger (11:2-12:13). The vision in this chapter provides further details regarding the Persion empire, the Grecian Empire, and the Roman empire, to the very endof the Roman empire under Antichrist in the last three and a half years to this age...

Subject of the book of Daniel
-The Destiny of Israel Apportioned Out by God- The Contents of the Seventy Weeks-
The book of Daniel concerns the destiny if Israel apporttioned out by God, the contents of the seventy weeks (9:24-27). It also concerns himan goverment from Nimrod to Antichrist. Because Israel and human government are for Christ, this book also reveals certain aspects of Christ, who is the center and the circumference, the centrality and the universality, of God's move. In particular, it reveals Christ's death (9:25-26) His appearing in His second comming (2:35-35, 45), His recieving dominion anz a kingdom (7:13-14), His being a companion of the suffering witness of God (3:23-25), and His excellency (10: 4-9).
The central thought of Daniel is that the ruling of the heavens (4:26), of the God of the heavens (2:37,44), over all human goverment on earth matches God's eternal economy so that Christ would terminate thw old creation for thw germination of the new creation and would smash and crush the aggregate of human goverment and establish the eternal kingdom of God!

Yeah Thanks... this one was a real head scratcher... I could point out just a few of them, I'm no scholar.. but, discovering the implications of this daniel book... I'm am fully persuaded that every thing that's is knocking at our door is... planned so let's get to understanding it and getting on with our purpose.
I have a question! How did the Romans allow Antiochus Epiphanes enter into the Promise Land and massacre thousands of Jews, and cause so much abomination. From where did he obtain so much resources to carry out such an act. He had surrendered and was under the authority of the Romans. Why was he allowed to do this? He needed an army to carry this out.

I hate to disagree with this God fearing great pastor, but I think he got part of this one wrong. Read Matthew 24:15 again and then read 2 Thess 2 again, and oh, go back two chapters and read Daniel 9:27 again. If the Pastor is correct, I will apologize to him when we meet in the clouds. Nevertheless, I still have mad love for all my brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s okay if we disagree in a spirit of love and kindness. By the way, it’s okay if you don’t agree with me....I can assure you, I do not have all wisdom.
Paul, I understand that there are Christian believers who really love Jesus who disagree on these things having to do with the end times. Of course, I think that what I believe is correct, but I do want to hold those truths in a way that honors even those brothers and sisters who may disagree. So let's just pray for each other and trust that God will keep guiding us more and more towards His truth!

dangerously wrong on your interpretation of Daniel 11, I would refer you to Matthew 24 Jesus himself speaks of this chapter in Daniel and lets us know its yet to happen and when we see the abomination of desolation Jesus is near to his return, anyone watching this please read the bible first BE READY!!!!!
His interpretation fits a consensus that is agreed upon by most biblical scholars. You may disagree with a portion of the interpretation, but many would agree that most of it matches pretty well with past historical events. However when it comes to the end times, nobody knows what exactly will happen or when. I would also advise people to steer clear of anyone who claims to have a full understanding of what will come, as they are often cult leaders...
I think your right. The book of truth is just recently opened as promised by our LORD here at the end times. Old interpretations were good guesswork. "New wine must go into new wineskins."
My first instincts when I saw the way this pastor was dressed was I'm sure he will not give an accurate interpretation of Daniel 11 & for sure he didn't disappoint. Now I'm not belittling him in the beginning his interpretation was ok but he couldn't interpret who the power is that overcomes the Kingdom of the South & the power that persecutes Israel, dangerous interpretation cause that power is here already the Roman Catholic Church.....Study scripture for yourself guys....

More than anyone Danial Understood the Difference difference between Kings ( Monarchy, Royals) and Presidents as he was made a president over the kingdoms and princes affairs, yet Danial was himself no King. Danial was also aware of the difference and distinctions between Kingdoms and Empires and Nations, so we should accept his words of the interpretations as such to be literal when possible and not to be figurative as most popular teachings suggest today, simply because of prophetic hastiness or impatience. God's prophetic word is not swayed by the majority or popularity.
Please keep in mind this Prophecy of Daniel 8:17 " Understand, son of man, that the vision refers to the time of the end." and Dan 8:23 And in the latter time of their Kingdom, (latter time) what kingdom good question see Dan 8:21 And the male goat is the Kingdom of Greece. This is the best explanation of Daniel 11 I've come across. Thank you very much for your insight. What I can share is that this vile king to come in the future isn't Jewish. Daniel 8:9 tells us a "little horn", the one we call the antichrist, would rise from one of the four kingdoms established after Alexander the Great. Daniel 11 and 12 now clarifies that the antichrist will rise from the region once occupied by the old Seleucid Empire. Revelation 17 and the riddle of the 7 kings implies that the last global empire established before the return of the Messiah will rise in the Middle East. The countries in the regions once occupied by the Seleucids are primarily Islamic. This might mean the gods of his father's that he won't regard may refer to the god of Islam. Time will tell whether this is true or not. The god of forces the antichrist reveres may be Satan himself since Revelation 13:2 states the dragon will give him ".......his power, his seat, and his great authority". It's something to think about.

The verse in focus:
*Daniel 11:37* (KJV)
Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, *nor the desire of women,* nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
This verse is simply listing God - and other god's, the antichrist will not regard to support the point "...he shall magnify himself above all" god's and God.
*Note:*
*1)* It doesn't say desire 'for' women - it says desire 'of' women
*2)* To randomly include in the middle of several examples of god's (and God) the antichrist will not regard 'He will also be a homosexual' (or asexual) would be (is) confusing and nonsensical.
*3)* There are god's that women desire, e.g:
'Women weeping for Tammuz' (paganism)
[Ezekiel 8:14] - Gaia, etc..
To further and fully support this correction, all we have to do is look to a few other bible translation examples:

The problem with Christianity and prophesies of the bible nowadays is that everyone translates them with patriotic feelings according to where they come from. I pray for this pastor, such a misleading and wrong meaning of this prophesy...
