As a member at Leasowe, it's great to hear you enjoyed the course! That bunker on the 5th has messed many a round up! Don't go in the ones on the left of the 16th green, I think they are the hardest on the course. Although it isn't the longest course, although a bit longer off the white tees, there is plenty of defenses and not a course you can overpower. Scratch golfers are happy to shoot level par round here! I enjoyed your content, interested to see where you go next :)
Cheers Greg, I thought that bunker that I went in had to be the toughest on the course. You are very lucky to be able to play such a great course regularly 👍👍👍
Leasowe is a great little course, have played it a couple of times. I'll never forget, one time we had to stop for a while in the middle of the round because a thick mist had rolled in off the Irish Sea and there was zero visibility! 😊
James, just want to say a quick thank you for continuing to provide content on your channel. I really enjoy all of your videos and always look forward to the next one. Cheers from the USA
Another value for money find, it is very hard sometimes playing a new course, especially ones with deep bunkers !! nice sunset and a well deserved pint at the end. Cheers.
Hi James, and thanks for another great video ftom Leasowe GC on the Wirral.Very enjoyable.I have been following your golf journey for a good while from the Irish midlands and have enjoyed the many and varied courses you have played.I really enjoy the Welsh ones as Ive never got to play golf in Wales..Your improvement over the years has been brilliant but I particularly love your easy going attitude when things dont go so well as with your troubles in that bunker.I look forward each week to your new vlog and I wish you every success in future snd keep up the good work😊
James great to see you join us on The Wirral for a change at Leasowe GC. Not played it - yet! Have followed you all over North Wales on this channel - played some wonderful courses through viewing your channel. Keep it going lad 👍
Great video, have played Leasowe many times as i live close by. 93 is not a bad score for your first time. Usually windy which makes it more of a test. Its great value for money given its neighbours are Wallasey & Royal Liverpool.
Cheers Andy, as long as you're playing regularly and practicing a bit there should be no reason why you can't improve. Make sure to get a couple of lessons too just to check the fundamentals. Good luck! 👍👍👍
I really enjoyed watching you play this course, it looks fantastic. And I echo other comments made, your videos are very calming and relaxing to watch, and I love the honesty with your commentary. Are you going to do a 'what's in the bag' video? I always like seeing what clubs others are using...I'm a nosey sod!😂
Well done James, another enjoyable video on a nice looking course, always difficult when you've not played it before, the double Adolf (Adolf Hitler= two shots in the bunker) was tough!
Leasowe is a nice course, always looks like a course you should score well on, but it always finds a way to beat you. Looks like you got fairly lucky with the weather.
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 walk my dog at the top of the hill/prom along the hole you hit the 1st snowman watched many many people struggle on that hole. Really really itching to get my clubs out and play again. Think I’ll get some range practice in over the winter
Well done on repairing pitch marks beyond your own; I try to do the same. Myself if I’m waiting on a group ahead I’ll fill divots. I try to use all the sand on my cart before the turn, then refill the sand holders. It helps pass the time while waiting, gives me a bit of positive karma towards my round, and invests in the future condition of the course. You had a mixed round this time. Cheers and may the pars roll your way!
Cheers John, it's a habit I got into as a course I used to play at had repair 2 pitch marks as a general policy. I didn't get much good karma on this day hopefully it will come in the future! Thanks for watching :)
I was thinking about that bunker, I think you HAVE to take the first swing at the pin. When that doesn't work out, look for an escape route out, second swing.
Love watching your game, reminds me of mine. One day you can't miss a putt. The next day you can't hit one. Yes, golf is a funny ole game. I missed a lot of five footers left. It's called "sneaking a peek" here in the US. Your eyes go that way with your head and shoulders thus pulling them left. Watch your head in the videos and you can see it. Looking forward to your next round.
I love your videos, a few more good holes again as well... i just wish you would learn that 90% at least of your shots go right (not a lot) but you lose shots by being off the fairway or in the rough..so just aim slightly more left to allow your shot shape, or alter your stance slightly to allow for it, but do something to combat that and you will gain shots almost straight away.. i had the same issue as my shot shape was always going bullet straight but kind of towards 1pm (on a clock face), rather than play draws, it was easier to alter my feet position slightly.. not a long hitter but absolute straight. (works for me), and i'm Cheshire based, play at Portal and Delamere off 10)
That bunker on 4 really exposed your bunker technique. Typically you just splash out your bunker shots but in these pot bunkers that method has no chance.
You really need to open both the club face of your SW and your stance much more when playing bunker shots. If you don't you will continue to struggle with bunker play. It is clearly the weakest part of your game so you should be spending more time practising it.
Yes it’s curious. For such a good player on approach shots (your dispersion is very good) it feels like at tweak to bunker shots and a bit more putting confidence gets you to lower scores quite quickly. I enjoy seeing your temperament on course. A lot of golfers could learn a thing or two about the way you conduct yourself whether it’s a birdie or snowman!
Are there usually so many par fours under 300 yards? I don't even think I've ever played a par four that short. I thought the 233 was a par 3 usually? Was that a mistake? Great video otherwise!
Peter Allis did indeed comment on Leasowe, during commentary for The Open in 2006, he commented that it was appalling that they never allowed female members at that time!
Come to think of it I don't think I saw any female players on the course this day :) They have some ladies courses nearby. Wirrel Golf Club was once ladies only 👍👍👍
All i can say is that your wonderful videos - for some reason - bring the viewer inner peace. Thanks again, great watch & some great golf!
I couldn't put my finger on it but you are right. There's just something uniquely peaceful about these videos.
Some good golf on a tough course. Especially the bunker 😳
As a member at Leasowe, it's great to hear you enjoyed the course!

Great course leasowe
5:27 had me laughing out loud James. I thought it had gone well off the back of the green. haha. Looks like a lovely course that one!
Im so glad youve uploaded another video, find your videos entertaining actually, keep it up
Leasowe is a great little course, have played it a couple of times. I'll never forget, one time we had to stop for a while in the middle of the round because a thick mist had rolled in off the Irish Sea and there was zero visibility! 😊
Another great video James. Leasowe is a tough track, especially when windy (which is most of the time) greens are fantastic
That looks a nice picturesque course you certainly play some hidden gems Whadda life
James, just want to say a quick thank you for continuing to provide content on your channel. I really enjoy all of your videos and always look forward to the next one.

Great course with the water and castle. Very unique. Keep making these great vids!!!

Lovely course, played there a couple of months ago. Unfortunately we weren't so lucky with the weather. Great video.
Beautiful day to be on the links course, 3 tough holes, but lots of solid golf. Great watching as always
From quadruple bogey to par 5 birdie. You're right James, golf is a funny ole game.
Great video, have played Leasowe many times as i live close by. 93 is not a bad score for your first time. Usually windy which makes it more of a test. Its great value for money given its neighbours are Wallasey & Royal Liverpool.
Yeah, the wind really blows and it didn't let up all afternoon 👍👍👍
What a beautiful course and you filmed it very well
That course looked in good condition, looks a nice place to play👍
Nice round, beautiful course. There were some rather penal bunkers and windy putting is hard.
Another great video. Beautiful course. Thanks for sharing!
A game of if's!
Not too bad overall for 1st time. 👍👴🏌♂️⛳️🇺🇸🦅
Lovely course. Hope to see you play that again sometime. ⛳️
Don’t think I’ve ever rooted for another golfer as much as I do for you! Bad day at the office but we go again 🫡
Another great video and a fun round of golf. Thank you James and keep them videos coming!!!!...
Weve all been in those bunkers.great video
My one was close to the clubhouse too. I wonder if there was a couple of people looking over chuckling at my misfortune... :)
Those British Bunkers are Ridiculous!!!! Omg …. Loved the video … that was a tough course
A Castle defending the 1st green is awesome!!!
Avoid going left at all costs! :)
Best golf vids on TH-cam, as others have said very peaceful. Plus gives me hope that I can get down to that sort of handicap one day 😊
Cheers Andy, as long as you're playing regularly and practicing a bit there should be no reason why you can't improve. Make sure to get a couple of lessons too just to check the fundamentals. Good luck! 👍👍👍

Well done James! Thanks for sharing and keep on with your entertaining rounds. Your golf and especially your temperament is admirable👍!
Well done James, another enjoyable video on a nice looking course, always difficult when you've not played it before, the double Adolf (Adolf Hitler= two shots in the bunker) was tough!
Really enjoyed the video. Looked a great course. Have you ever had a bunker lesson?
I'm not a member at any course so have never had a short game area to practice bunker play on. And it shows. I will sort it out one day! 👍👍👍
Leasowe is a nice course, always looks like a course you should score well on, but it always finds a way to beat you. Looks like you got fairly lucky with the weather.
Great fun to watch and the majority of your golf was very solid.
That bunker was very tough.
Keep up the good work.
It might have been the toughest bunker on the course lol 👍👍👍
Another great video, what a beautiful course..those bunkers are certainly character builders!
They definitely sharpen up the member's iron play 👍👍👍
Local course that i’ve never played
Looks tough and looks really tough when the wind blows off the sea
It was a 2 or 3 club wind on some of the holes. This was a relatively light wind day too! 👍👍👍

Great content. Looking forward to seeing your shot on 15 in Denbigh 👍
Cheers mate, that one was unexpected but very welcome! The balcony at your clubhouse is a great spot for a post round beer 👍👍👍
Great video James I enjoyed watching it you enjoyed playing and making and as always see you on the next one😂
Great Video! 👏
I was thinking about that bunker, I think you HAVE to take the first swing at the pin. When that doesn't work out, look for an escape route out, second swing.
Yeah, I know that now. That's easily the toughest bunker I've ever been in lol :)

Some days the putter is cold. On to the next one... 👍👍👍
Love watching these vids!
great video
Birdie on 6 was great. I laughed quite hard at the outcome of the second bunker shot on 4.
I thought it might hit me on the head lol :)
Great video, just the three holes did the damage, it certainly is a funny old game.
Just subscribed. Nice vid
Subscribed! I just started my golf journey at 40. Do you have any tips for tracking clubs hit, distance, shot number for your video edits?
46 was a great score considering the bunker which cost you unfortunately. I use a 64 degree out of those and works very well.
Great stuff James, could be even better with a bunker lesson.
Cheers James. Dreaded 3 putts
No more, don't even mention them! hahah :)
I’m sure you will learn from that bunker mishap 😄
Great video
Thanks for watching :)

Hang in there!! Enjoy the video
Good round for a course you’ve never played before. I bet you’d hit your goal next time!
thought that round was a lot better than the score suggests

There's nothing funny about golf!!
