Two weeks later my dad suddenly passed away, a total family breakdown started to happen and on top of that the pandemic. Everytime I hear this song takes me back to December 2019 and January 2020. Thankfully, this December will be magic again after few, I am expecting my first newborn. Totally unrelated and not of your interest, but it feels good to share this.
Sorry for your loss. On a similarly unrelated note I'm going for the first xmas with minus one parent. Great to have a special song as an anchor to different times, especially when those times were brighter. Good luck with the new kid on the block - give it lots of love and lots of music!

I love this song. One of my favourite of Kate's songs, and for me the only Xmas song. Now, I like all kinds of rock music, even metal, but this song has one of the strongest endings of any song I've heard, yet melodic at the same time. She's a genius.
Whilst I think Shane n Noddys efforts are certainly in the top 3 for Christmas tunes, Kates surely has to be no1. As someone who lost my parents young and is estranged from my only sister, this one always hits me more in the heart for Christmases gone by!

I've always loved Kate Bush and i used to work in a clothes shop in the 90s and they had a Christmas CD playing and this song came on i instantly loved it. But had it not been for me working there and listening to that CD i would of never known that this song existed.
My favourite Christmas songs it always has been I remember Christmas 1991 I was only 14 & every time I heard this song that year it made my think of my girlfriend I'm now 42 & my girlfriend back then is now my wife
