I was about to make a purchase after your review, but i noticed that those sold online clearly say it has only two sided blade inserts. I am confused. Are they 4 or 2 sided?

I watched this video before finally convincing this is a good choice. I was disappointed though coz it makes a deep snipe on the wood in the beginning of the feed. Later i just use a sacrificial 13 inch wood then feed the good ones around the last 4 inch reveal of the first wood fed on the machine. Works well naman after that
Can you recommend a good dust collection setup for a home/hobby shop? I have one that came with my CNC router and it is louder than the router. It is so loud you can hear it from a block away. It's louder than my neighbor's Honda when he tries to do a burnout. It's as big as your dust collector but it's just a cheap generic China dust collector that came free with the CNC. Can you recommend a moderately quiet, reasonably priced dust collector that is available in the Ph? Thank you.

i have both sir, siguro if this model went out together with the showa dito ko sir for its price point. almost 10k differerence pero same results ng spiral cutterhead nila.

same model sir? if yes, one trick that i usually pratice is mababaw na depth ng kain.. 1mm would do.. bit it must be perfectly jointed para pantay ang kain.. one reason for sniping is baka di pa ganun ka flat jointed ang wood sir.
@@tablaprimerastudio6752 yes same model sir. Hindi rin sya jointed. Single hardwood plank po, teakwood and mahogany. Every time na isasalang ko may wood snipe sya sa either front and end of the wood.
Bad experience with Lotus and this machine. Within 6 months, barely within warranty the armature failed and needed replacing. After some time they actually replaced the whole motor which I was happy about and satisfied with Lotus. Then within 4 months the same thing happened with the armature failing and getting cracks in the copper bars of course causing loss in contact. Lotus would not do anything about it. So I was left with a useless machine. Obviously there is some defect with their armature but they won't own up to it. sad... It's not like I was using the machine commercially, it was just used for personal home projects so not heavy use day in and day out....be careful about lotus...
This planer, while it seems well built, is junk. I've bought one from shopee, thinking that it should be good enough for occasional weekend diy use, but the motor conked out after only 1 month of moderate usage. Do yourself a favor and just buy a better brand planer. This planer is also not exactly cheap. For its price, i would have expected na tatagal ng kahit 1 year man lang sana. Lesson learned. Just spend a bit more on those proven brands of powertools. Never again lotus.

wala namang blade sa 1/2" na extra width!!!!
