Seems like the 2 of remakes are the best resident evil 2 was the same for me a masterpiece so much i played both leon and claires story’s both 3 times each. Im on my second playthrough of this game played this game as a kid nice to come back to as an adult!!
This man, this amazing man did it... He nailed it, he completely nailed the role and even outdid my expectations! It's not just his voice, it's the mannerism, the eyes, the mouth twitching....everything is perfect.

Just got to the hospital section in the remake. Loving it all so far. It's such a love letter to the original while also making it their own. Massive props to the actors and the entire studio! Your hard work and passion shows ❤️
I kinda want the Until Dawn devs to remake SH1 just for the fixed-camera angle gameplay. But let’s see what Bloober can do. I just prefer fixed camera gameplay than over the shoulder.

I’m at the Lakeview Hotel part and I honestly cannot believe how incredible this remake is! It’s everything I could have ever wanted for a SH2 remake. There are couple of nitpicky stuff that I wish was more like the original, but put all the new stuff they added and this is the definitive version of SH2!
"we're not creating something, we're trying to honor something that's already been made" Most people don't realize how important and admirable hearing that is these days. In the era we live in where we have so many reboots and remakes that don't care about the source material, and are only using these IP's to milk the name of the franchise, it's nice to hear. Reminds me of Peter Jackson's quote about Lord of The Rings. Something along the lines of "we don't have any interest of putting ourselves and our ideas in these movies, we want to put Tolkiens ideas in them".
I didn't know that Silent Hill 2 was inspired by Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment". That's actually explains a lot. Now it is clear where the inspiration came from for creating such a complex psychological portrait of a person and its further analysis.
however says that this Remake is "soulless and bad" really has no taste and let's nostalgia invade their brain, I played the OG and enjoyed it, and now I am playing this Remake and I love it even more.

Moreover a lot of new other changes need to be made to make it modern. If they change let's say 80 percent of the game, they need to find another name for it not a remake!
I completed this game a couple of nights ago and I miss it already. It's a great game that could have been perfect. The voice acting in this game was fantastic.
I just hope silent hill isn't brought to the surface after all this time with the remake just to be destroyed we all fought stayed faithful to have this beloved series brought back out wether bringing it back out to the mass public eye and the critics of today was good or bad only time will tell because after all silent hill is a broken place for broken people
My friend, as a long time fan who’s been through this multiple times, that’s just to be expected. This remake turning out great was a complete and utter shock, even up until release the franchise has just been a corpse for 20 years. An abused corpse at that, they regularly dig it back up to trot it out and parade it around to be abused by devs whose only other projects are High School Musical for the Wii or mobile games. We’re just used to it never coming close to the originals, so this was a nice surprise
This game is something else. I had to take a break midway on my second playthrough... it got to this point where i felt it was so oppressive. Such a fantastic effort made by Bloober
You do. You just aren't ready to take advantage of if it yet. Everybody can do some pushups before work. Or weights. Even if it means waking up a little earlier. Think about how good you'll feel and look. Small price to pay, as a person who works out.
Take a notes! This is how to remake the original, not a "fanfiction" with lots of personal touch that made the original become a caricature and unrecognizable anymore.
I very much admire the team and what they have acomplished. however, I think at 7:41 it's pretty clear they got the wrong idea about the combat, who in their right mind thought making it "tactical" would fit with this game?
Would have 100% agreed hearing that before release, but have you actually checked it since it came out? I think “tactical” was a poor choice of words, all of my worries about the combat being too game-ified etc were assuaged, the combat hits a perfect balance between the original and modern gaming conventions imo. As usual the responses dismissing any criticism are just about as well-reasoned and thoughtful as the ones calling it “woke” though
