Hey Man, thanks so much for this video and going into depth about how the steering wheel works, where to get instructions, and the unit that does the resistance mapping. I bought the same steering wheel axxis component and thought I may had messed up over spending on something that wasn't working. Note for anyone who has a 2009 Acura TSX, You only use 3 wires from the axxis adapater. Red, black, and red/gray. Read first step carefully. They want to you split one of the wires from the back of original wire group, connect it to the black from axxis, and then attach that to the ground. Again thanks for the video!
Hi. I have an android radio from china. I want to install it on a 06 TSX. The wires labeled Key 1 and Key 2 get connected to which wires? I know they are for steering wheel controls, but on the factory wiring, which ones are for the steering wheel control?
I did everything that you said. When the red light stayed on i locked it in then I turned the ignition off took the key out and turned it back on. It didn't work for me. I tried three times and got the same results, nothing.
Is it possible that Android units with SWC1 & SWC2 hookups don't need the aftermarket converters like AXSWC ASWC-1? It makes sense for brand names like Alpine, Kenwood, Sony, etc... But if Android already has the hookup (wire) for it, can't I just connect the correct wire from the car to the SWC! wire on the head unit?
@@marcdepoosingh3998 I went ahead and connected what I think is the correct factory wire to the android unit and it only works sometimes. Not reliable enough to keep trying. Could also have the wrong wire. I did also connect an atoto wireless swc transmitter and receiver. The remote is a dial with programmable buttons. It works pretty well but not 100%. I'd say maybe 90- 95%
Hey so I have a 2004 Acura TL with Pioneer MVH2300NEX and the steering controls worked once before but did some amp bypass and they stopped working but I gave up on it. Now Im trying to fix it and I installed it and stays solid Red like its working but the switches don't do anything and the radio is like spazzing out keeps switching modes. Do you think its the switch giving a weird resistance?
So is there seriously no way to keep wheel controls without spending a ton on all this extra crap? I cant just tap into the favtory harness somewhere ?
just buy radio with compatible swc functions with money your gonna spend on that stupid box, without aggrivation of wiring, programming , n still it don't work...few more bucks ....plug n play ...no fuss...no mess... win win..crutchfield
You have been such a GEM over the years, thank you for another very helpful video.

So do the station buttons work as changing song buttons for Bluetooth stereos ?
