    Dear Bipendraji,
    Kudos.This video is very helpful to beginners.Long back I faced a trouble when removing front wheel.The brake was pressed accidentally after removing the wheel. Nice video.

    Really very helpful. Especially removing rear wheel.
    I really suffered yesterday when my rear wheel was punctured.
    It took almost 3 of us to lift the bike up to remove rear wheel out.
    I didnt know that I should tilt the bike after it is in centre stand.
    Now I've learnt the easier way.
    Thank you for posting a fully detailed video of it

    Really helpful video Bipen.
    I might try this tomorrow. Not sure if it is worth doing this in India, where you could possibly get this sorted for 100 or 200Rs. While a puncture repair kit costs only 1 pound in a shop, it cost minimum 70pounds (i.e. circa 6600Rs )to get the puncture tube repaired at a garage in the UK. And half of them haven't even heard about a Bullet, although historically RE is British. After watching your video, I'm convinced it's do-able and can't wait to get the Bullet back on the tarmac.
    Thanks again for the detailed explanation. Great job!!

      By the way, I had a question...is a pillion rider advisable for Leh trip..?

    • @bipendrachettri4148
      @bipendrachettri4148  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Frank Rock : Thank you for the appreciation Frank.
      Coming to your query, well, many people do ride with a pillion but I personally would not recommend it if you have a choice. Am safely assuming that you are planning to ride an enfield and this bike is not the most comfortable bike for the pillion. The rough gravel road will not make a pleasing experience for your partner. Take a pillion rider only if your partner doesn't know how to ride a bike or are not very confident riding on a rough terrain.
      Hope this helps . Ride safe

    Its a very informative video. Thank you so much! Why don't you take someone with you while changing the rear wheel? I so badly felt like coming over there and slide it outside as you were stretching so much to reach the spoke while tilting the machine.

  • @a.k.mukherjee3873
    @a.k.mukherjee3873 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hallo Bipendra! Thanks for sharing the video. I have a suggestion to make. I observed that taking out the rear wheel is not a straight forward issue. However it can be made simple. What I use to do is to make the motorcycle to gain some height by inserting two identical pieces of wood of size 5 cm by 5 cm in cross section and length 20 cm. Also, there was no saree gaurd in my Electra 5s. With this modification and improvisation there is no need to tilt the motorcycle and then ask somebody to take out.
    Also, while taking out the front wheel, please don't use a hammer. Better use a mallet. This is because the hard metal surface of hammed-head inflict damage to the axle head while repeated use. While carrying on front wheel job, I don't use to put any weight on the rear seat but used bricks beneath the front of engine to support the motorcycle. Once the front wheel is out, the centre of gravity automatically shifts towards the backside and so the motorcycle can never tip in the front. While fitting the front, I never used wooden block beneath the centre stand. Becuase two much height of the axle hole from ground means that I need to support the full weight of wheel in one hand while pushing he axle with the other hand. That is very strainful. It is not a good idea to push the axle in one go as it severely strains the muscle of the hand which is carrying the weight of the wheel. One use to do in short spurts while taking rest in between. All the best.

    • @bipendrachettri4148

      Manandeep Singh : Thank you for the appreciation. I would certainly recommend any advancement in technology which would help prevent tyre puncture specially when you are riding long distance because you don't easily find enfield mechanics to fix the puncture. If its for short distance .
      If its for daily commute, I would not waste my money on it. No quick fix is good fix :)

    • @bipendrachettri4148
      @bipendrachettri4148  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Akshay, one thing to note is that getting the Enfield tube is a bit difficult as most mechanics do not keep a stock of them. I suggest you go the mechanic and get the brand that you have heard and can trust. Usually the price difference can indicate the quality difference. What I do is that I go for the mid price range tube , not too cheap and not very expensive either.
