As a mechanic myself, I 100% agree about the use of air / power tools. I prefer the use of hand tools because you can feel the fasteners movement and limits. Air / power tools have their place, but in my opinion, never during detailed disassembly or reassembly. Nice work Trevor.

Trevor is a man after my own heart, I use my venerable “speed wrench” rather than power tools when I can for feedback on fasteners, particularly the smaller bolts and screws. PS...that exhaust, pure mechanical Verdi!

I am thinking that if the aluminium part of the clutch bending towards anti-clockwise would be better. Just matching the aluminium tire sections bending shape. Could be worse i dont know. Current setup looks aaamaaazing. There is no denying on that.

Wally R. Yes many companies make mid controls. Ducabike and rizoma come to mind so check those out. I believe Mani from motomillion could get both for ya

@@JaretCampisi Biggest thing is that the Harley will have a metric shit ton of options as far as customization and a ton of dealer support...whereas where I live there is only one Ducati dealer within 50 miles, and as far as mechanics, i wouldn't trust them to work on my bicycle let alone my Duc. I have the same issue with my 1199R. Performance wise the Ducati will kill the Harley....Reliability wise the Harley is going to run 50K with next to zero issues...the Ducati has HUGE issues with its belts, the maintenance is extremely expensive, and parts availability is a HUGE issue....

He’s the real deal and has been wrenching and racing Ducati’s longer than most of your subscribers have been alive. I’ve known him for over forty years and wouldn’t take my Ducati anywhere else. His son and business partner Carlin is the current and two or three time Pikes Peak Hill Climb champion. He rides Multistradas with the same engine as your Xdiavel. Maybe you don't know yourself but I'd like to know what the Ducati part number is for the black gasket material that was used. Can you find out the Ducati part # please? I know I've already got my '16 XDS but I'm gonna go to your Patreon site and sign up or do whatever I have to do to enter to win this bike also. Don't know what I'll do with 2 XDS' but I'll figure it out once it happens..haha...
XDiavel: belt drive, forward controls. Diavel: chain drive, mid controls. Edit: There’s more differences than just that, FYI. They’re different bikes. But those would be the main ones.
They actually both have completely different engines, components, rider position etc. The Xdiavel is more of a cruiser where the standard Diavel is more of a sport style naked bike.

I'll tell you right now this bike is better than the FXDR in everyway. Although I do love the sound of a harely and that they are American made :)

If your wheel locks up when you downshift without rev matching you have bad tires.
