- While visiting Yangon last year, we sought out three local barbershops and we filmed a wet shave in each one to explore the differences between the shops.
Golden Hand Mens Stylist was the first shop we filmed and is a typical barbershop found in Yangon.
This shop used a little different technique that I hadn't experienced before. Since the chairs do not recline, the shave was done lying down at the hair washing station.

The sign in the back says "We have hot and cold water available for hairwash." Hot water is not available everywhere in Myanmar, but even the cold water often has 30 degrees Celsius or more 😅

All of the clothing traders had gone, but a different sort of trader still lurked about. "Just a taste" he said. That was all it took.
Burma sounds better than Myanmar and Burma is much easier to spell.

I have never had a straight razor shave does it hurt at all when he is shaving a partial beard like Harry had in the beginning?

Watched many vids on wet shaves. Laying flat on your back seems to be best angle for closest shave especially the neck. Looks comfortable too.

The barber spent much time styling his hair. You rarely see that in America, unless you pay over hundred dollars.

Wow Harry, it’s not often you have that much scruff on your chin. How was it getting a shave on what looks like a massage table, for some reason it doesn’t look quite as comfortable as seated or reclined
