I had this one simple routine for many years. I was reading zenhabits texts for hours daily. That was like a therapy.

Would like to learn more about simple healthy eating. At 73, I'm moving toward a more whole food plant based diet, but made the mistake of watching too many TH-camrs & buying several large cookbooks. I quickly became overwhelmed with new ingredients, too many spices, & too time consuming recipes for my energy level. Hearing about your simple meals was such a relief! Thank you.

like many viewers who started a minimalist lifestyle with you back in the day, we’re starting to look at retiring…love to hear your thoughts! And super happy to have found your channel again…once in a while the algorithm is bang-on the nose with what it chooses to show!

    Dear Leo
I want you to make a video on the ways to add things in life like badminton or acting or something else.. while doing studies with 100% focus and dive into it.
I want to make my day memorable
Today in my library the lights went off and then i and my friends went to the park and Played cricket with kids and my team won and i felt like i have done something that i am really happy after so many days
I want that kind of excitement and newness every single day

Wow I'm so thrilled to find you on TH-cam! Looks like your been on here for a year and for some reason never showed up on my algorithm. I'm all about Minimalism and have been since 2008 when I somehow came across your blog and was mind blown! I remember literally printing out a lot of your content back in the day when I actually printed things, lol, and I felt like I had struck a secret gold mine. Nobody I knew had these ideas not did I ever hear about Minimalism and Simple Living. So I hung on to every word! You seriously are The OG in this community and are so loved for it!

I love the point about nature. I noticed that as I age, my favorite thing to do when I travel is just... see the nature. Go to London, favorite part? The gardens. Literally smelling the roses.

Thanks for the share. Another video idea or topic: can you share more about the zen philosophy and book recommendations or teachers?

Thanks for your words of wisdom and inspiration. I'd welcome more thoughts on overcoming the scarcity mindset. I left a very stressful job last year, having run a nonprofit for nearly 30 years. While I am 52, I am privileged to have sufficient savings to not have to work if I don't want to, especially if I live the simpler life I am striving toward. When others ask why I am not still working (or when I'll go back to work), I start to feel lazy and fearful that I might not have enough.

I would love to hear more about (1) how minimalism changes when you do it for such a long time, (2) simplicity with a family and parenting, (3) zen

Would love to hear your experience with minimalism and kids. I have 4 kids and drowning and would love to simplify but scared to do it as my kids have so much stuff and still want more.

I loved this video. Thank you. I’m 69 and have always led a simple lifestyle. I always enjoyed being a homebody, reading, not having a busy social life. Etc. I did spend a lot of money on useless stuff when younger and still have guilt and regret about that but I know I must forgive myself. I’m a minimalist now and doing the Swedish Death Cleaning but having a hard time deciding what I should leave for my niece and nephew regarding my sentimental items. Like old journals, letters from penpals going back to 1977. Do you have any advice on how I should deal with my indecision regarding those items? I want them to know more about my life after I kick the bucket so not sure I should keep for them. Not sure if this is even relevant to your video but it doesn’t hurt to ask, right? Thanks again 😊
