When I see the title, "Plumbing Fail!! Pipework is Terrible!!", I thought good to see Mark's improved! It's not until watching the video I realised what you meant! Great video Mark and great looking pipework at the end. I hope you enjoyed your early day.
Kitchen fitters strike again......Nice job on tidying it up mate......I think we've all had the same problem with the Nerrad sockets so glad to see they're addressing it also i use that paste so i'll be looking into into the WRAS side of things with it....I hope it's still ok because there isn't nothing out there yet to rival it 🤔
This is just like my previous house, every pipe in bathroom, kitchen and central heating system ended up being replaced as they were a total shambles. 😂
Hi Mark, a nice tap change and some pipe work there, it certainly did look better when you had finished. The new deeper Nerad tap sockets are a great idea, have a great remainder of the week, take care, regards Chris. 👍👍👍
I can honestly say I’ve had bowel movements I’m more justly proud of than that original pipe work. Looks a ton better now, and all in the space of an hour, going by the clock behind you.
The Nerrad tapex kit is great but they need some bigger sizes for the taps that use the fixing bolt like a banjo bolt as an outlet for a tap with a flexible hose outlet.
great little video as always 👍 ive had the angled jaws and tbh i think youre better off doing it the way you do, with a bit of pre-planning, they really dont make much of a difference and are just as much of a pain to use. great stuff as always mate.
For them long threaded bars that you need deep long sockets for why dont you cut the excess off so that you can get your socket on there or get some automotive ratchet spanners with a flexi head ? Good job as always tho lot neater than before 👍
They're a bit of a nuisance outside Scandinavia these traps. In Scandinavia it seems all drains go down into the floor and then these traps make total sense. If the drain goes into the wall they don't.
Great video Mark liking the butterfly valves are they full bore? Neat and tidy job just how it should be. I’ve had to do this myself a few times and it can def take a lot longer than a normal tap replacement. Thanks again.
Lovely job there mate. Looks much tidier. I’m relatively new to plumbing, and don’t know what the double check valve is for. Could you explain why you used it in that situation? Thanks mate!
Great job but I thought the regs state you need to have a drain off valve on after the isolation and check valve do you can then isolate and drain the pipe out through winter, that’s how I’ve done them anyway
I've had an issue twice with the swivel part falling apart. They've sent a new one and it's happened again not sure if it's a dodgy part, I've only used the kit less than 5 times
Great work mark how come you didn’t pick up a tapex extension kit while you was at the show 😄 they could of given you a free set as you always praise the kit 😄👍
Some advice please, when I try to connect compression to push fit pipe, it never holds. I also am never able to put the olive on with the inset in. It’s made me worried about ever combining them.
It is annoying about the Nerrad Tapex kit have come across this issue a couple of times, do you know how much extension kit will be? Also I’m so glad I bought the angle jaw set for my gun, Best thing I did. Pricey!!! But has gotten me out the S#!? Plenty of times.
i love watching your videos mate ..can i ask a question i have just fitted a mixer tap on a new bathroom sink and the water coming out is so slow i mean really slow the old taps was fine any idea what to check thank you
Builders job I suspect 😡 can’t plumb to save their lives, not all of them’ just my experience ! plastic fantastic 😂 great vid mate ps…the paste is fine’ load of bollocks 😂
Those milwaukee automatic pipe cutters are rubbish on 15mm, still using my pipe slice, too! Just a thought don't ALL outside taps have double-check valves built into their bodies ? Therefore, there is no need for adding an extra one?....
You have to get the specific outside tap with check valve in, not all come with them. Plus don’t even bother using them as they freeze up in the winter and shatter the plastic, then don’t have a check valve at all, always best to fit them internally
Mark, I'm sure it say that it is WRAS Approved in the side tin? Does that paste have to be used up in a certain length of time? Only asking as my tin has been opened for a long time.
Re the long threaded bar on some taps. I still use the long box spanner which comes in a pack of 3 for about £6.00. They slot tgether and I don't need to buy the fancy set or spanners for I bet £120!! Why paste on plastic pipes? Why paste at all!! It went out with hemp!!
Why do people/plumbers/kitchen fitters leave the threaded bolt so long? It takes 30 seconds to cut it down to an appropiate size so that a regular socket set can be used to tighten and/or undo it. Then, there would be no need for expensive 'Tap socket sets' that are clearly not fit for their job ( unless you spend even more money buying extended/long reach sockets that should have been included in the original set!). Just go buy yourself some long reach sockets... I've been using them for years!
They leave the bar the size it was supplied for a very good reason... believe it for not if you cut that threaded bar it voids the guarantee for the tap, crazy I know!
@@MJTiffPlumbing Under a sink is hardly on view!! OK compression fittings. Easier to adjust than press fit!! Maybe we agree to disagree!! Oh and whay all that apste!! Never used it!! Ha ha

Splendid job Mark 👍. You can always rate a plumbers work by looking under the kitchen sink 🙂. Great video as always 👍
Thanks mate 👍🏼👍🏼
In my opinion the way that tap fixes to the sink is the best most solid way there is. Great idea.

Double check valve is to stop back syphonage…. So the water doesn’t go back into the cold supply…. Basically a one way valve
As always nice job

I hate the IKEA Flexi waste pipe very hard to make it look tidy. Nice job only 1 thing i thought it was isolation then check valve ?

@@MJTiffPlumbing Fair enough, personally like to just stick a drain off on the pipe inside and drain in completely then

Not sure on the price of the kit…. Maybe £80 I would think
Good job mate , do you need to use an insert when fitting them valves ? I thought was only plastic to plastic you use them

We never use compression on plastic pipe because too much expansion on the plastic. Also if you are you need to use a metal insert.
