Hello Andreas, I recently purchased a 2015 Mercedes cla 45 AMG and had the code p0299 and p060A pop up, I was wondering if you have seen these codes? I know the p0299 are for low boost and the p060A is for the pcm not operating correctly, any advice or info would be amazing, love your videos!
A few seconds after driving on puplic roads (parking in gives me extra time for cool down). 2-3 Minutes after driving on a racetrack (last lap is always a cool down lap).
@@WaveCeptor22 I just tuned my car with JB4 and installed intake and downpipe along with could and plugs , when I was dynoing it , I saw the turbo and the upper side of the downpipe glowing red and I was extremely worried. Thanks
200 km/h at 3300rpm. That is cool, but what about carbon build up in the intake valves? This is why you always have to let the engine idle to cool down before shutting it off.

Dies sollte einem veranschaulichen, warum es wichtig ist einen Turbomotor „kalt“-zufahren.

is the turbo water cooled or oil cooled? also whats the effect of such high heat on engine oil life?
The turbo is watercooled. As long you dont turn off an hot engine without cooling it down before, there is no effect on the engine oil.

Mein Turbo hat 85000 Meilen gehalten und ich habe einen Check Engine Light Low Boost bekommen.
It's under alot of boost...26psi if memory serves. All the 45's AMG's use this same boost.

Im Video merkt man das nicht, aber ich habe Vollgas gegeben. Hohe Last und niedrige Drehzahl lässt den Turbo am schnellsten glühen.

I dont worry about that, i let the engine always cool down before shutting it off.
jetzt wäre noch interessant zu sehen ob das Turboglühen ohne das Thermoband später anfangen würde weil ja mehr Hitze an das Umfeld abgegeben wird!
Das Hitzeband ist nach dem Turbo an der Downpipe angebracht. Also hat es keine Auswirkungen auf das was davor (Turbo) geschieht.
