Clever tank mount! My diesel heater made all the difference on our recent trip. I've had it for years but it proved itself priceless this last time out.
Yes sir, it seemed to work well in that spot so far. No issues or complaints! It’s nice to take the chill out of the air for sure. Can’t beat the performance for the price.
Well done, the heater is the best addition to any bus for winter camping, I have a similar one for 5 years behind my jump seat. The key fob is the best especially when you warm the bus up before you go to sleep and get under the blankets and press the button to shut down the heater without getting up, also when you wake up you can click the key fob and turn the heater on to warm the bus up before you get out of bed. Enjoy your first bus camp trip this weekend. I’ll be camping next weekend and it will be 15 degrees at night, love it.
Hey bud, I need one of these for Percy my 67 splity. So it's good to see your handsome face up on a video 😅. So thanks for sharing man ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
Cool(warm) addition. I just put a 2kw in my bug on the package tray and plumbed outside to the inlets from the deleted heater boxes. Stock like. Fyi, pretty sure your contoller has a prime function. Have fun 🏕
I was wondering when this video was coming out! Great addition! Those CDH are super china when you start tearing down the cases haha but many light part make strong unit 🤣! Did I see you sold your trailer?
Honestly they are built pretty decent for what they are and the best $100 I could have spent. Yes I did sell it and too cheap according to many people. I wanted to pass on the savings to someone else since some of the items were sponsored. I wanted to keep it but the reality of me using it wasn’t worth it sitting around and only getting used like once a year. I’d rather see someone else use it and enjoy it.
Nice install man! Going to try one of these on my spotty when it comes time. I think I am going to try to run the output thought my heater log connection and y it off hopefully!
@@VWJawbreakerhappy New Year. as an owner of a 71 Baja I've watched every video you have. You're a great source for teaching every man at home VW mechanics. Glad you are back, hope the family is doing great.
If your like me Clamp Would be right in front of you.Hows your shoulder working out ? I have two new hips and a knee took me forever to get used to them
As always great install. The bus looks solid underneath but if I were you I’d treat it somehow to prevent corrosion. Is that in the plans? Happy 2025 to you and yours, dear sir!
Appreciate that sir! It is very solid underneath and yes I plan on spraying something under there to help any future issues. Although I’ve never had an issue down here and not coating vehicles but it definitely wouldn’t hurt! Happy new year!!
It doesn’t get as cold as up there but it gets down into the 30’s plus humidity and wind. I’ve seen it in the low 20’s when a big cold front moves in. This morning it was 45 and wind chill was around 40. It’s nice to take the chill out when camping.
@ it hasn’t gotten into the 20’s in a few years but last January and February when I went camping in the camp trailer, it got down to 38 at night. That’s chilly for sure especially since the most I have is pants and a hoodie lol

Oh I agree, the key fob is a life saver! Wish it had the app control but I’m ok with the fob.
Camp trip went great. Hope you enjoy your trip!!
I need to get one of these for winter down here. Great invention hay 😁

@@VWJawbreakerwow; it came out great and after all that work I thought the whole family could go camping with the bus and the trailer together.
@ that was the thought as well but the women don’t care to go.
@VWJawbreaker it ain't about the money, the build and the use of one of your most powerful tools(imagination) is the reward
@@V8N8T exactly right brother. Plus a young family gets to go camping and seeing their excitement and the deal they got was worth it all.

I believe they do make a petrol version of the heater.
These Chinese heaters are only diesel. Other brands have both.

So far so good. Mostly good days with the shoulder.

Some carpet remnants and or insulation on the bare metal would help a bit...

JB, YJ here. Is that bus lowered? and if so how? Spindles? removed springs? Thanks and enjoy the heat.
Not sure exactly, the previous owner mentioned drop spindles and he did something up front in the beam.
