Wow that faucet is the bees knees man. How perfect, maybe some rubber under the mounting points on the pump. I use a lot of old mud flaps I find on the road to use for something like that
Sad thing is, the pump is rubber mounted. Thought about using some grommets that are 1/2” thick to help space it a tad and give it more isolation. Hoping that works.
Just ordered a similar one to replace the broken plastic one in my camper . I chose the one with the top instead of side mounted faucet handle . Should be no interference with the glass sink lid .
Love it my pump is on a switch also..iam ordering that faucet ..it looks just like mine but mine u have to hold lever down to use it n it's a pain to wash dishes or wash ur hand while holding lever down nice work buddy
Yeah, I’m sure that gets tiresome. I’m glad I can offer a solution for ya! Gotta sort out the city hookup which just an adapter from Atwood but I’ll get that done in the near future.
O iam ordering that propane adapter too...last monday it was 19 degrees n i tossed my jetboil on my bus stove to make coffee if i had that adapter i could have just used bus@VWJawbreaker
Great job on the sink plumbing. My 68 had a sink only behind the passenger seat. Never used it. I think it was a hand pump one with a drain container? Our buddy cabin boat had a stove and sink more like yours and was only for white kerosene on the stove. Tried to boil up a crab and gave up. Barely could boil water
@@TimsWorkshopTJY yep, the earlier ones had those sinks. Luckily this stove is propane and I haven’t had an issue making coffee with it. I won’t cook inside, that’s what the other stove is for lol
Is it possible to remove the handle knob and reposition it so that it doesn't interfere with the lid? This was fun to watch the parts become a functioning whole, I too love it with a plan comes together. Hope you're feeling better soon, this winter's bugs (no pun intended) suck for the misery they are causing.
I looked quickly and didn’t see a set screw but if that the only thing that’s giving me an “issue” I think it’s a win. I appreciate it sir, finally starting to feel more human again.
Hey Gary, That's a nice set-up, man. Q. If someone decides to pour what's left of their water down the sink, where does that go. Wouldn't it be nice if you could make it refrigerated water. Just a thought. So, as always, thanks for sharing another great video. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
Thank you sir. The sink drains to the outside and onto the ground. That’s how these were designed, no grey water tanks on these. That would be a cool idea for sure. Stay safe and have a great week!
@@briangrosse2099 that’s your decision on engine size for your VW. The later fuel injection cases didn’t have a fuel pump boss so you’d have to run an electric fuel pump.
Superb work Gary your getting that bay styled and dialed!
@@V8N8T definitely trying to make it as functional as possible. I don’t care about looks as long as it gets me there and is comfortable.
Awesome job! I didn’t know there was such a faucet available. Thanks for taking us through the process!
I was really surprised also and it’s been working great for a while now.
Great job Gary. It’s nice to have water on top when you’re out camping. I like the faucet that’s pretty cool how it folds down.
Appreciate the support man! Love it when an idea actually works out lol
Good work J.B.. Nothing like going down the road and getting a drink of water..
Take care my friend and God Bless...
Appreciate you sir.
Another nice upgrade for Lulu.

Any opinion on VW 1600 UG engines? Looking to put a fresh 1978 engine in my 1965 split. Or stick with the stock 1500? Thanks
@@briangrosse2099 that’s your decision on engine size for your VW.

Would there be a way to have the tank/pump And the city water hooked up to this faucet?
There is an inline adapter from Atwood that would allow you to hook up the city water to the main supply line.
Plumbing in trailers and stuff is simple. Electrical is very much a pain on the other hand 😔
I’d rather do electrical than plumbing anyway lol
@@VWJawbreaker I'd much rather deal with the plumbing

@VWJawbreaker and then turn the heat electrical when it comes to automotive
