It's >almost< done Neil! It's been delayed because I lost a part and had to get a replacement from the manufacturer 😔 It's in paint now, Cundalini's hand and some of the roof rack gear are a flexble rubber material that I haven't painted yet, it shouldn't (🙄 will be) a drama.

Hey PB, Cool unboxing. I got mine today too but I chose the Sandman Van. I have the Max van in 1/64 scale by ACE models. and one hand made by George Hodges from Hodges Hotwheels and Diecast. Looking forward to see how you go with this one. Cheer's JV
Thanks JV and BK. The ACE models are nice cars. Call me a grub, but I can't work out why the Sandman was the same price as the Max Van, with all the extras in the Max Van, I expected it to be dearer than the Sandy.

Yes it is Neil, hope we get the XB Falcon 'Big Bopper' and Interceptor as well. The Aoshima kit goes for mental money now. I only learned recently that the film was overdubbed outside of Australia lol. Didn't think we were THAT unintelligible 🤣
It sure is, I'm trawling the 3D File sites for figures, but it's all Mad Max 2 and Fury Road stuff. I could probably make the ice cream, toe-cutter might be a different story for me lol.
Just an observation they have surplied a 6 cylinder exhaust pipe but you will be fitting a V8 motor so looks like an exhaust build heading your way ..... 👍
Yeah it’s a bit weird, it has one pipe and muffler molded into the base, and the second one as a separate piece, I suppose it lets them make both 6 & 8 versions at a reasonable cost, but it can’t be terribly accurate. I saw some images on a 3D Printing page of a replacement ‘open’ chassis which is really interesting.
Hi there mate have hey got a plastic hand to hang on the side but you said they got one i have to get one i got three Holden of these great models iama Ford fan but i had to buying them 1 of them is a not the king wood bloody wag 2nd one HQ monaro with a LS supercharged motor and the 3rd one is a HJ van a kustom van with a LS twin turbos motors mate i them looking forward of building them soon i been making models for 40years its past time mate so I hope you had a great Christmas and I hope you have a great safe new year mate,

Also I’m in a Facebook group ‘Scalebuilt Garage Australia’, a few DDA builders on there, maybe worth a crack?

That’s the best bit having Aussie cars to build, making replicas of cars we all actually owned as opposed to Hemi Challengers and Camaros.
