      It works really well, and yes i'll be investing in the locks. So far so good with the KTM i really enjoy riding it. I agree if I had the money an Africa Twin would most likely been sitting in the garage.

    I always wondered why accessory manufacturers didn't make a quick-detach frame set. It is an obvious winning idea, and I like Sw-Motech's interpretation. I already have new luggage, and a frame mounting system on order. It is for a brand new Aprilia Tuareg, so I will return or sell the set that is on order and get the SW-Motech set instead. It has exactly the functioning I want. I will need an adapter to be able to mount the cases I have on order; so it is good to know that SW-Motech offers adapters for other brands of luggage.

    Great video, big like. I have a 890 ADV R 2023 and still waiting for my sw motech panniers. I have the same KRIEGA OS Combo but a big question.
    How did you mount the kriega plates on the bracket? I am more interested in the used screws in the front & back. Are there any specials screws which are coming with the kriega plates special for the PRO side panniers? Thank you 🙏🏻

I am asking because I had these kriega combo on a 2014 GSA.. sold it and I want to mount it on my new bike but I have only the screws which came with the plates and I am wondering how the ones for the pro carriers look like, any ideas of the name or code for the screws or a picture? Thanks 🙏🏻

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah ok, got it i didnt know you already have the plates. The GSA would have had a tube type side pannier I guess? so it will be a different fitting for the SW-motech pro rack. Best bet is to ping the guys at Kriega an e-mail and they would probaly be able to sort you out a fitting kit

      Hi Tony!!! Merry Christmas!!! Hope I am not disturbing on this happy holidays and parties that u r enjoying..
      Need yr professional advise:
      I am getting a Suzuki 800 DE in 2 months time. Am looking to get the SW MOTECH pro side carriers. The soft panniers that I would like to purchase is TUSK PILOT from Rocky Mointains ADV. Am wondering how to make those Tusk pilot panniers (with quick release) fits on the pro side carriers. Cos we don’t have any agent at where I am(Singapore) for SW MOTECH as well as Tusk.. so I am abit lost on how to make this 2 different brand talk to each other… happy holidays!!!

    I totally agree, SW motech along with the Kreiga OS, it doesn’t get better than that! I’ve used SW Motech gear on a few bikes ...and so do many of the manufacturers, they just stick their brand name on the bag somewhere, then charge 20% more! Thirsty work, eh...Now for another beer!

    Great video ! I love the beer interludes :) I would be happy to just follow your full instructions (including the beer timeoff...) on how to install the system but got one question: how solid is it ? I do some offroad and I wonder how sturdy the system will be in case of a flip over. The registration plate attachment makes me wonder...

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, it makes the job more fun! Its a really sturdy system, when both carriers are bolted on it makes an incredibly strong frame as you have six connection points. The rear plate fixing is no problem if you have both carriers on. If you fit just one it could cause problems in a crash, BUT having said that the front two mounts do most of the work.

      I haven't no, but they do look good. I was going to try them on my Tiger, but then i decided to sell it :). I have a couple of the Kriega OS6 bags which are similar and can be attached to crash bars, but they are more expensive than the Lomo ones.

    Please can you tell me if you can mount the Kriega soft bags directly onto these Pro side carriers without the OS Platforms? If you have to buy the platforms too it means you have 2 carriers plus extra cost. Or can you get the bags with just the black plate? Thanks.

    • @mancavemoto

    Brilliant vid again mate, and I have watched a lot of your "Luggage" ones, as well as others, and I just had it confirmed today from SW-Motech that they NOW do make the quick release pannier FRAME for my bike - 2020 Africa Twin Adventure Sport (which until now - they hadn't - only for the basic model) but I would LOVE your thoughts on using this mounting platform, with the large Lomo pannier bags - ie -- cheap as chips - with the added benefit of not keeping empty frames on the bike, at any time. THISSSSSSS solution is what I have been looking for in daft levels of detail. Permanently attach the Lomo bags to the SW-MOtech frame - job done??. (or not). Cheers brother.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Paul, and thats good to hear. It should be a good combo with both the Pro and Evo side carriers. You can always fit a cheap side plate to the carriers too for a bit more bag support if need be?

    • @paulsmyth497
      @paulsmyth497 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mancavemoto Tony. Watched it again, and I think your Kriega OS platform back plates are a great way to go, as there are loads of possible combinations for attachment to tthe Lomo molle system. I don’t really ever see me buying Kriega / Lone Rider bags, as I cannot justify the price for the infrequent use, so the large Lomo panniers, on this platform is an awesome solution. In addition, the links for the OS platform from Sportsbikeshop, and the security device fir the Motech frame you provided is awesome mate, I have spent HOURS looking at this subject, and .the fact that SW Motech now do make the frames for my bike, together with your sterling advice saves me finally from this torture 😉😊👍.. Thanks a lot for taking the time to do this stuff, and also for replying Tony. Really appreciated mate. Cheers.
