there's a really masculine, minimalist and rugged element about this entire home. the visual landscape is tremendous - i can't imagine being able to see those kinds of sunrises every morning. indeed a get away home. beautifully curated in every way!
I love how this story is not about the owner and his house but people around him. Great guy. Genuine. Joshua Tree is one of my favorite places. Almost yearly I ride my bike from Seattle to JT. Thank you for the feature.
This guy should be the architect. His vision and ideas incorporated into the house is what makes it what it is. I have a million dollar property here in Honolulu in a place called Palolo Valley that is about 3-4 miles as the crow flies to Waikiki beach. I can see the ocean from my 10x30' deck which is about 60' above the street below since my property is on the side of a hill. I would trade this in a heartbeat for a property like his. Always thought the desert was beautiful and peaceful.
Them boulders looking ominously over the property though 🙈 that’ll surely make it one with the landscape! Jokes aside though this house looks like somewhere I’d want to live, I love the way it looks modern but seamlessly fits in with its environment, well done 👍
Hello from near in Palm Springs. This is tremendously creative and makes me want to explore Joshua Tree! I only went as far as Yucca Valley several years ago. Cheers neighbor.
Nice & Beautiful but HOT AS SHIT (especially with steel siding😂) in the Summer…or 6 mos out of the year. …seasonal home for sure. If that view didn’t include other homes or rooftops I’d give it a 9…you’re in the desert, I’d wanna piss off my patio deck if desired🎉
Not much here; mostly a glorification video with an abundance of some guy driving his Porsche, living in the desert in a decidedly ordinary wedge house with an abundance of scenes of Porsche driving (incredibly interesting content) sprinkled with some knick-knack type decor and ho-hum whatever. Next… click!
I have to agree. Architecture should first and foremost, complement the surroundings, not impose itself like a sore thumb. This landscape is breathtakingly beautiful and I feel that this design does not make it any justice. (I‘m mostly talking about the exterior) The main issue I find with this is having the house on 2 floors with such a tiny footprint. Instead of blending in with the background, it just stands out.... odd design. Big no-go for me.
@nopetuber I wonder if this Escape House looks bad to you because the US desert landscape is far from your own environmental experience. (Edit: Joshua Tree, CA.) This is a very distinct, harsh landscape to inhabit and build in.
DDDAAAMMMNNN !!! This is nice nice nice !! All these EVERHOUSE videos are cool for all of us Porsche owners ! Thank you.

A real gem of a home. Thanks for the video tour.
as lover of construction tiny homes, this is one of my best videos I've seen. thanks for your amazing mindset
Its a stunningly beautiful house. The landscape is art
Super duper. All the best. Oh yes, Kandinsky.
Breathtaking
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this home and space with the land

Beautiful 911...love the "gulf blue"
Cool ! The “getaway” place with minimal space, and maximum embrace. Even the adventure Mustang gets the 👍. Thanks for sharing.🤙
Amazing.
Perfect getaway house ❤
As an architect , I can clearly state a lot of thinking went into this. Cheers 🥂
Do you think they get water from a well? And the waste goes to septic tank?
This will definitely be an off-grid project.

Would you be paying the remaining half mil in cash ? 😉
It is truly awesome for sure.
The Baja-Mustang is pretty rad too
Lovely 😍
Very nice 💯🙂
Very impressive, as beautiful as anything can be. Desert...perfect. Best wishes--
Cool house, cool views but water is life. 👍🏻
Joshua tree sits atop an aquifer brimming with water
Them boulders looking ominously over the property though 🙈 that’ll surely make it one with the landscape!

Perfection
Beautiful home ❤
Super cool

The Corten is amazing --> The way it looks only works in desert kind of surroundings !! Where cold and wet won't be the same effect !
Perfect abode for a guy like me.
Great place ! It’s unfortunate that you won’t live there forever.
It looks like they have a narrow side with a small window facing West. That's very smart and permaculture, as the west side is the hottest.
Cool house 😎. Do you have a well or do you have to truck it in ?
Use the Rocks bolder house right there. 🏡👍🏿. 👁🌎👁.
I'd be curious to know in what area of CA this abode is located.
This is in Joshua Tree
@@Everhouseco thanks I have been to the National Park. Very nice place.
All the views are amazing but the view out the kitchen sink is ridiculous. I'll do all the dishes
Who is the architect? I would love to see the floor plan.
Luis Herrera
Too old..to poor but kin nice..have to stick with wot i got..thanks anyhow..

Ya that dark brown steel roof and the steel railings in the summer. Ooofff. Wouldn't be much fun in July and August when it's 115 degrees outside.
His beard is AI?
😂

Hahaaaaa. Sucker!
Sums it up perfectly.
Major big d*ck energy vibes all around, where the cars make more of an impact than the architecture.
Thanks, too much drama( desc. Does say"methodical") for this old carpenter: plz just show prints. Great potential except for location
Like the house design. Not a fan of neighbors or telephone poles.
Honestly, it looks bad to me
