Platform). Dedicated to segments B and C, this new vehicle base complements the EMP2 (Efficient Modular

As its name implies, the CMP platform is adaptable in terms of dimensions and engine variants. Accommodating
all power sources, it will enable customers to select their preferred type of power train, a traditional combustion
engine (petrol or diesel) or an electric motor.
Economy was the watchword throughout the development phase. This new platform helps to limit new
PEUGEOT 208’s CO2 emissions, due to:
reduction in weight (30 kg lighter vs. the F1 platform),
improved aerodynamics (levelled floor-pan, electronically controlled air inlets),
reduced roll resistance (Class A tyres, reduced suspension friction),
power train optimisation (improved combustion output, down-sizing, reduced mechanical friction,
transmission extension and generalisation of Stop & Start).
New PEUGEOT 208’s exterior is so distinctive and tasteful that it is able to dispense with chrome fittings,
revealing the strength of an expressive design with pleasing proportions. It is well and truly at the centre of
PEUGEOT’s up-market move.
Longer, wider and lower than the current PEUGEOT 208, this new generation reveals a distinctive bodyline,
suggesting sportiness with its clean, taut lines. There is also a clear touch of sensuality conferred by the wide
shaped wings and overall body curves - a discreet balance between soft and firm.
From the side, new PEUGEOT 208 reveals its pared-back windscreen that allows space for a longer, sculpted
bonnet. To underscore the sporty look, the extreme-angled quarter light is perfectly aligned with the rear wheel
arch. The GT Line or GT versions feature glossy black wheel arch flaring: this streamlines the body, making the
wheel diameter appear larger. On these premium versions, the 17-inch wheel rims are adorned with screw-in,
customisable inserts which improve the aerodynamic effect and reduce the un-sprung mass (-3.6 kg per vehicle).
Immediately recognisable, the front end is a clever blend echoing the visual signature of the lower section of new
PEUGEOT and the Full LED 3-claw headlight signature (according to version). The front bumper is designed as a
single contour containing a perfectly-integrated, single outlet radiator grill in the centre, bearing the iconic
PEUGEOT Lion. The tip of the bonnet shows off the 208 badge.
As a follow-on from PEUGEOT 3008/5008/508, the rear end of new PEUGEOT 208 stands out with its black band
running over the width of the boot lid, linking the 3-claw lights (which are also day-running). The design is exact,
shapes are taut. The rear diffuser is available in a gloss black finish and, depending on the engine variant, may be
enhanced by a chrome exhaust tail pipe.

I agree that the iconic Peugeot 208 gives a brilliant driving experience, second to none in the same range. The interior looks much better than my 3 year old Peugeot 208 - much more posh, etc. For a small family car, you can’t go wrong owning a Peugeot 208 - I should know, having owned quite a few over the years. In Brazil we will never have a 208 like this with this quality and all devices and accessories. Here they take out a lot of items aiming to save costs and have more lucrativity. And incredibly Brazil is the place where they have the highest lucrativity in the world.

hello there. great video!! i have the allure version manual gearbox with 100hp and when i am choosing the reverse gear it doesnt activate the camera on the screen. Do you know why?
If the car have the camera maybe it has an error, not sure to tell you ....go to a peugeot dealer and ask them they will help you

i have a 208 gti, you need the lower the steering wheel to look over it to get a decent view of the dials, its ok but sometimes I would like the wheel higher but cant as wont be able to see the dials and the new 208 uses the same style cockpit which is dissapointing

Es el allure, no tiene las insignias de GT ni en los laterales traseros ni en el volante. Y las llantas son allure también. Las garras delanteras creo que son simuladas en el Allure.

@@SDADanCars Thank you so much. But the model i ordered is "Allure" diesel and the seller told me it should be the same as the 3d cockpit but only in 2d. The car should arrive here to denmark in januar 2021.. The video in the link is a "Active"..
Judging from the full LED signature and the large 10" screen, this is noway an ALLURE model, but a high-end more expensive GT LINE. Just check yourself with configurators on any EU Peugeot web site. And this can NOT be an option as, surprisingly, "Full LED" is not even an option, it only comes as standard with "GT Line" and luxury "GT" models.

@@SDADanCars Exactly and that's why I went to Peugeot Switzerland and not Peugeot France to check this out: same trim levels for what I pointed out there, I stand correct. The sole possibility is that the trim is actually the German-only version "Allure inkl. GT-Line-Paket" which is actually the German name for "GT Line" which does not exist under this name in Germany. So the car is indeed a GT Line, not Allure. But that's weird as _Emil Frey Automobile Moosseedorf_ is registered as a Swiss car dealership. Or is it actually an international car broker/procurement agent importing foreign cars? 🤔

Hard to say, depend what you want. I think both are great for what they are. If you need city car or small car this is perfect. If you need SUV or bigger space then 3008 for sure
