  • Here's the shortened version of the V1 (18 minutes!) Get all the good stuff in just 5 mins right here.
Hope you like the edit. If you have any questions, or if there's any measurements I've missed, let me know and I'll help ya figure it out.
    Happy racing fellas!
    Excerpt from previous video:
Who needs an overpriced load cell when you can DIY this beauty?
Here's one for the GT Sport players in the round. But definitely something you could use on PC or any other console.
What I should probably have explained better is that for GT Sport (PS4/5) drivers, there is a certain point in the brake pedal travel where it arrives at a deadzone (beyond 100% braking input) if you remove the original rubber block.
Hence, removing the rubber block entirely from the brake spring setup will create this deadzone, making it difficult to best apply braking inputs. The 2nd spring added in this video replaces the position of the rubber block with a more mechanical feel that you can tune (using the washers) according to your preference. This makes the brake feel something you can vary from game to game, relatively easy.
Let me know what you think in the comments!

We need a full parts list.. this is useful and not at the same time

Agreed. Links to all the parts would be insanely helpful, as well as sizing information, tension information for the springs, etc.

For those asking about measurements: it’s basically any spring that has an outside diameter that fits inside the main brake spring and can still move freely - you can eyeball this. The thing to pay attention to is wire thickness (thicker = stiffer) and how many coils it has (less coils = more stiff). From the video, it looks like the wire diameter is 3mm, which should be very close to the wire diameter of the main spring. Playing around with spring length, washers, and wire diameter will fine tune the brake feel. The washers themselves don’t add stiffness, it just changes the amount of force required for the inner spring to start to compress when load is applied while you brake. Hope that helps!

Can you list the exact measurements for the parts somewhere? I'd love to build this.

A little hole for a safety pin at the end of the heavy spring guide rod would go a long way (just to keep it from falling inside when tilting the whole pedal assembly upside down)

You can get rid of the shitty deadzone in GTS by using a GIMX adapter

I have inherited the pedal from Chris Aaron and it works awesome. I made some minor adjustments to my liking and it works just awesome.

Still going to need the linear usb cable to bypass the firmware curve.

What's the diameter of the small spring?

Really nice bro! I also have the AXS True Brake and while it works, it’s WAYYY too hard to press! I like your method much better! May I ask where to buy the smaller inner spring? I’d like to try this 😀

You might be able to get it off Amazon. Just look up compression springs. Hope it helps!

You can buy softer springs off axc-sim, they used to come with a 100% spring...but now offer sever different ones for a 5a. I've got the 60% spring in the pedal and a 40% coming too
