Yeah elvis presley was very charactmatic and very crazy in fact elvis own personal nickname for himself was crazy and definitely right I mean this is a man that would wait until a rollercoaster got up to the highest point and try climb out the rollercoaster and make everyone panic thinking he fell out and he would be hiding somewhere on the rollercoaster true story too cause it was actually on elvjs by presley.
He was born to sing! And he was born to move! Check out some 'Stand-up' parts from this show. 'Trouble' is a great one. But as always, thanks for your professional reaction! 🎶
He was having a hard time sitting still for this one! You're right about the live session. This really shows them jamming. The percussionist, DJ Fontana was playing on the back of a guitar during this entire session. When they set up the stage the drums were in the way of the cameras, so he improvised without the them.
The first time I heard this song, was the first time I heard of Elvis. It was 1956, I had a 1954 Chevy Bel Aire, I was driving east on Jurupa St. in Riverside California USA. I thought, OMG! I love this guy, but with a name like Elvis he won't go anywhere, he needs to change his name. LOL. Shows what I know. But, I can still see the road, the Eucalyptus trees, my car. Oh Yes! I am 85 and his songs still move me. Oh Yes!!!
You are a great Lady! You are maybe 85, but in your heart you are still 22. ( if i count correctly 😊) I was 9 when i fell in love with him. I am now 53 (a little bit younger than you 😉), and nothing has changed, and i guess it never will. Thank you for sharing your little story with us. Stay as young as you are!!!! Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
He wanted to do this intimate setting because he thought he had lost touch with his audience. There was no need for him to worry, that was never going to happen. He is still loved today.
The video of Elvis and his daughter, Lisa Marie, singing, "You'll Never Walk Alone", is AMAZINGLY beautiful!!! It is SO well done. Check it out even if just for yourself.
Elvis got to have some real input for the '68 Comeback Special. This was his chance to prove he still had the ability to perform in front of live audiences. He did very well. And of course, went on to do the Aloha from Hawaii special a few years later.
There was another soul who lived within this wonderful beautiful man his identical twin Jesse his baby brother that died his mom Glaydes told Elvis you gotta be strong enough now for two do I believe that s why he always tried to be better today then he was yesterday. His mom told him that Jesse his baby brother lived within him. What a thing to tell s young boy. Wow.
I was a Senior in HS when this played on the radio. This was so different, that a lot of people didn't know what to make of it. However it was the start of Rock and Roll history..
HAHAHA! Dude made me laugh at 7 minutes .... "And the reason I'm saying all that is ...I don't know. I completely forgot where I was going". I've been there myself. It happens when running commentary. He's right on point at the 5-6 minute mark. I heard Soul Legend Bobby Rush talked about that very thing in a couple different interviews... "What Elvis Presley do, what Elvis Presley had, you can't teach that. Some artists may be great musicians but still won't feel the music and be able to interpret it and make others feel it the way that someone like Elvis could. You can teach people to play guitar, but you can't teach them to move people the way Elvis could through a performance". Renaissance man is right on it.

I've wondered sometimes what would their lives have been like if Elvis' twin brother had lived. I know that's a strange thing to say but I've just wondered.
As a kid in Tennessee I lived on the same block as a set of twins boys a year older, last name Presley...both blonde....looked exactly like Elvis. Must've been close cousins.
Malaki Cowboys , I use to say to myself, " gee, if they had black hair they'd look exactly like a young Elvis. And that was before I knew he had naturally blonde hair.
Singing what made Elvis Presley he believed a man without a song wasn't nothing. In fact you need to play a react to. The song in speedway w Nancy Sinatra it's called. Nothing without a song it's amazing.
His mother, Gladys, said Elvis seemed to have the energy of more than one person. He couldn't sit still. Kind of strange seeing as his twin Jesse died at birth.💓

By the way, Elvis was a devoted Christian. He was friends with the Osmond Brothers. The Osmonds said, after Elvis' mother died, he would call their mom in the evenings to talk because of her deep religion.
Notice how Charlie Hodge helped Elvis out with some lines from the song? Charlie and Elvis met each other briefly in 1955 at the Ellis Auditorium when Charlie was with the Foggy River Boys. He wanted to connect with Elvis at Fort Hood, but they finally got together on board ship when Elvis was grieving over his mother's death. Then they hooked up again in West Germany 1958-1960.
Ty, this is why I love watching bands/singers in concert rather than listening to the studio version. Their voice may be burnt out, they may be tired, but the majority knock it out and put their souls into it. Unfortunately, with the Beatles, my favorite band ever, in the later years, after they stopped touring, you only get studio versions unless you found videos from their album-making days. By the way, can you react to "Hey Bulldog" by the Beatles? This shows them actually recording the song. It shows different parts, of them singing in the mic or singing and playing instruments. It's a great video. In fact, at 1:02, you can see lead guitar, George Harrison, get pissed off (it's in his look). However, Paul's bass is awesome in this song. This has turned out to be one of my favorite songs by the Beatles. The lead singer on this song is John Lennon. Here's a clip: th-cam.com/video/M4vbJQ-MrKo/w-d-xo.html
This is a true story...a man committed suicide when his girlfriend left him and that's how the song came about...elvis didn't write the song only sang it
I always enjoy these reactions to older songs. Could you do Bebopalula by Gene Vincent or The Stray Cats? Maybe Summertime Blues by Eddie Cochran? Keep up the great work.

This song where Elvis is doing it STANDING UP in this 1968 Comeback special is much mucj better and electrifying...
None other like him. I watched that and couldn't take my eyes off him...
Ty, Elvis was born to sing, his former wife said he used to spend hours late at night just singing and playing the piano alone at home.
He was Fantastic!! Amazing.

My friend, I think you would like the song "Crawfish" from the Elvis movie King Creole. He sings a duet with the jazz singer Kitty White.
Love Elvis. That man has to move with the music even when he's sitting down.
