- Over the weekend, AJ Rafael held a special show where talented Asians did performances. As part of the show, two of the voice actresses from Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe, Deedee Magno Hall (Pearl) and Jennifer Paz (Lapis Lazuli) performed a medley of songs from the cartoon.

A lot of characters don't interact even though they're on screen together a lot it's really annoying
What I love about this is that they’ve got the Piano playing, which is Pearl’s instrument, and a Celesta playing over it in harmony, which is Lapis’ Instrument. That’s so CLEVER!

Them not interacting with each other and not having a duet in SU as pearl and lapis was such a wasted opportunity
People normally only care about deedee but no one notices Jennifer until she actually sings

Jennifer Paz is my favorite singer, because she from the Philippines, and her singing was great.
DeeDee is Filipino as well

I never realised how much I love SU songs and DeeDee's voice. My daughter and I used to listen to SU songs when she was hospitalised for months 🥹It helped got through difficult times 😭

Steven Universe is already one of my favorite animated shows, but the fact that there are 4 Filipino voice actresses makes me so proud and inspired. And a little weepy, these ladies just break your heart.

I know this event has nothing to do with Cartoon Network, but why has the channel never made a full SU concert? With the amount of songs they can make a full concert and even a live album. I would pay for a SU live album.
