The Largest Destroyer In The World | The USS Zumwalt

USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000) is a guided missile destroyer of the United States Navy. She is the lead ship of the Zumwalt class and the first ship to be named after Admiral Elmo Zumwalt. Zumwalt has stealth capabilities, having a radar cross-section similar to a fishing boat despite her large size.

This is basically a failed experiment. It was designed to use all new tech and it was built around the Rail Gun. But it turned out that every time you fired the rail gun it cost more than a new 6 bedroom house. The tech is awesome, but just too expensive to be practical.

The biggest waste of money in US Naval history. The Navy could have built 5 Arleigh Burke Class destroyers for every one of these POS. This is why free medical care does not exist: the military buying expensive toys that are not needed, and are not functional. Just like me buying golf clubs I cannot hit. But at least, I don't buy my golf clubs with your money.

There is no such thing as "free" medical care. You pay, the insurance company pays, or the taxpayers pay (through the nose,) but nothing is free.
