This is solved using the sequence of differences.if you find the difference between two consecutive numbers those numbers (that is 3,5,7,9,11…) will form an arithmetic sequence. There is no r here .
andrejustin bayarong also he did 28/14 due to the fact that you needed to get r. Doing the opposite of multiplying to get the end goal of finding that r.

the third term divided by the second term or the second term divided by the first thats all he did essentialy.
