just got my copy of the thunderclap, my roux solve time was avg 1minnute with the sucky rubiks brand and now i just did 3 solves on the thunderclap for first time and got all solves sub 60secs and one of them was sub 40seconds!! my best time yet!! I love cubing so much! Can't wait to learn even more!

By the way- I have used the this cube as my main for quite a while and I only get a corner twist about every 1-2 hundred solves! I also have it lubed with maru and it has a very fast, scratchy, bubbly sort of feel that I really love!
I lubed this cube with weight 5 your way after doing 100+ solves and it worked like maru lube except it lost the sandy feel.Thank you for showing the lubing method!
I LOVE my thunderclap so much! It's very smooth but clicky at the same time. I'll take your advice and put some maru lube in there to retain that felling.
Mine just got here in the mail, and man is it bad right out of the box. It's scratchy and has no corner cutting. I'll give it around 50 solves, lube it, and see from there.
Minh Tran, it's amazing. It can do over 45 degrees normal and almost a whole cubey reverse. I use a GTS 2 M as my main, but the thunderclap is my main OH cube
i agree with chris about the over lubing process, i over lubed my shuang ren with weight 5 on the pieces and i could barely turn, after about a week of breaking in, it became my main

Ah I see. I have already read a discussion about which camera is better and since everybody seems to have another opinion I think it just comes to personal preference! Why did you decide to buy a Nikon instead of a Canon?
+BlueLPler because it was passed down to me. My mom had an old Nikon d70 that I started on. If I knew I was going to get this much into video, I probably would have picked Canon since they have cameras dedicated to video and Nikon doesn't.

That's something I definitely appreciate: specifying WHY something is good, not just WHAT is good. I recently picked up the Thunderclap, and it's currently my new main! Still breaking it in before I lube it, but I've broken my PB average of 5 on it, so how bad could it be? There's really no reason not to at least try this cube.

I actually think the center cap is a good thing because they never pop out like other cubes, and you really only need to take them out every few weeks at most.
i dont know if it just me but i think you got a very good thunderclap, mine can hardly cut 45 degrees and it pops A LOT thecubicle.us setup my thunderclap and it popped on my first solve i put DNM-37 in it and now it is better but it still pops.
i felt it's hard to describe this cube cause it has such a unique feeling and then it struck me that it's basically a AK47 for a cube it's light, fast, and it's reliable you never had issues with it and you don't need to be overly delicate with this cube perfect for a starting out cube
I have got a stickerless thunderclap with center caps like aolong not that deep ones.Also I got colourful long torpedo on edges. Also simple corner with no grooves or anything. Which cube is it ,I think it is fake. It also didn't come with a mesh bag.
there are rumors that might be true that there's going to be a thunderclap v2 and it will have a little different mech and squared corners u might like it

I got v1 thunderclap as one of my first cubes. still my main to this day.
The centre caps covers the whole centre piece so that it won't pop on you or explode.

K, I h8 when people say this. Overlubing. It's just lubing however you want. There is no medium to where its regularly lubed
