I remember seeing her in 1971 at the Jack of Diamonds in Balloch, Loch Lomond. The were called L’os Caracas then and they were brilliant, never forgotten that.

radios and tv channels here in 1971-1972 It is a nice band and Sally Carr has a beautiful voice

It is a massive inspiration what a fighter she is to get through all she went through.
What an inspiration Sally is to everybody who has a setback in their life. Great to see her still doing what she loves and Happy 50th to Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep! You are so lucky to have met her and interviewed her! She's as gorgeous now as she was when I first saw her on Top of the Pops in 1970 and I was 9.
Sally is a lovely lady and such a nice person :) I can tell you honestly I was so nervous meeting her and was so nervous during this interview. Brilliant songs and group , I can't believe that 50 years have passed . You have a fantastic voice Sally , I remember Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep back in 1971 . I was 6 years old at the time , I'm glad you're recovering from your stroke Sally . Xxxxx
Sally had a brain hemorrhage and she recovered really well. The doctors did not thought she would recover. Just shows what a fighter she is 😊

@@talkingshaking7313 I used to be friends with the blonde female singer from The new Seekers. Brilliant brilliant girl, & she too has come through an awful lot.I truly admire anyone who seeks help for their addiction, as the lead singer did from the New Seekers.

I have mixed memories of that song. That is a really good song but it brought back very sad memories for me. I lost my mother a month before my 7th birthday and the children at school kept singing the chorus to me specially the girls. I didn't know what was happening to me at the time but it was bullying. How could a 7 year old child know it was bullying. There was no help in the early 1970s at that time. I still carry this emotional pain today.

@@talkingshaking7313 well I think that if she realy spoke with Scottish accent, then you not understand all what she was saying, I hear Scottish accent but not so strong as it can be, I think she tried to speak so you understood her, but very pretty accent.

I live in Jakarta, Indonesia. One day, when I was a child, around the early 1980s, I was at home and the radio was on. At that time, a radio station was playing an un-English song, with its music arrangements unique and beautiful. A female singer sang that song. That music came into my soul and I remembered the tune. After some years, I heard this song again. I wanted to know the title of that song, but I could not do anything. I kept that question in my own mind. When I was a young teenager around 1987, I played my father's cassette because I had no other entertainments; we were poor and I could not afford buying games, story-books, sorts of. In that cassette, I could hear a nice song. A female singer sang "Where's your mama gone?...". I also found another nice song. Male singers sang together singing, "Yellow River, yellow river...". Around 2004-2005, I touched a computer for the first time. I "met" the so-called Internet. I found TH-cam there. I watched music videos there and I was happy. One day, I watched a music video that gave me detailed information about the songs in my father's cassette. At that time, I found "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep" (Middle of the Road). Hence, I knew the singers and the title of the song. The other day in another year, I tried to find "Yellow River" on TH-cam. I found Christie singing that song, BUT the music arrangements were different. I knew nothing about this song. Many years after that I happened to find "Yellow River". This time, the singers were not Christie, but Middle of the Road. While being curious to know, I clicked the video. There, I heard the very same song that I found in my father's cassette. I smiled happily and watched that music for several times on TH-cam. On another day, I watched music videos again. I happened to see "El Condor Pasa" (Simon and Art Garfunkel). I clicked it and heard the music that was like that which I had heard from radio when I was very young, but the singers' voice was different. I tried to find other videos that had the same title. Finally, I found "El Condor Pasa" (Middle of the Road). This is the very song which I once heard. I was very happy. I did not know in what kind of language that Peruvian song was sung, but it was not in Spanish. Many weeks after that, I learnt that it was sung in Italian. Later, I knew the female singer's name "Sally Carr". I love you, Sally and Middle of the Road. Thank you for your beautiful music. I love your "El Condor Pasa, Chirpy Chirpy Cheep, Yellow River and...starting from 2003: Soley Soley. This lattest I once heard when I was very little, but almost forgot. I just remembered the tune.

Sally, when are you and middle-of-the-road coming to perform in the USA? You have an awesome voice and if you and the band performed in Sunny CA, you'd be the Talk Of All The USA!
Her voice is still awesome. :) Really hope for you,that your wish comes true and she will come to the USA. From what I understand it is often not that an artist does not want to come, it is mainly down to the venues. Maybe write to some venues near you, I know that my mom wrote to venues near her and said something like "I wish Band XYZ would be booked by you" and a few times it actually happened :) If you subscribe my channel,than you would not miss any future uploads :) All the best :)

FEELING A LITTLE CONFUSED WHAT ADDICTION WAS SALLY RECOVERING FROM. SHE HAD BRAIN SURGERY AS FOR THE NEW SEEKERS FIRST IVE HEARD ABOUT AN ADDICTION. BLONDE WAS LYNN PAUL AND BRUNETTE WAS EVE GRAHAM. WASNT REALLY A FAN OF THEM A FEW SONGS I LIKED. A LITTLE SENTIMENTAL OVER YOU WAS A FAVOURITE OF MINE. I SAW ANOTHER SHORT INTERVIEW WITH SALLY NOT LONG AFTER HER ROAD TO RECOVERY SOMEONE WAS SAYING SHE SHOULD QUIT WHILE SHE WAS AHEAD. PEOPLE DONT RELISE THAT SINGING IS THEIR LIFE LINE AND THATS WHAT THEY DO SALLY WAS VERY FAMOUS FOR HER HOT PANTS WHICH SOME PEOPLE THOUGHT WERE DISGUSTING ON THE WOMAN IN THE STREET. SOON AS SALLY WORE THEM THEY BECAME THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD. IVE ALWAYS SAID IT WAS DOWN TO SALLY CARR THAT MADE HOT PANTS SO POPULAR AND NO ONE LOOKED HAS GOOD AS HER IN THEM. HAS FOR SALLY GIVING UP SINGING WHY SHOULD SHE WE HAVE THE LIKES OF JAGGER CLIFF TOM JONES ETC ONLY SALLY IS A LOT MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THEM ALL. Sally had a brain hemorrhage which effected her speaking. Her recovery was a miracle.
