- Sally is now able to begin the hard work to retrain her voice and get fit for performing again. This a short message from her to all Middle of the Road fans who have helped her to get to this stage in her recovery.
I wish you well Sally , and thank you for the nice songs from the 7-ties xxx!!!

Having had a brain hemorrhage myself I know what Sally means, but never give up. I couldn't walk much after mine, but now go doing Ceroc dancing (which is not slow). I'm 74, so good on you Sally 💖💖💖💖💖
So amazing - still this magic voice after more than 40 years. Closing my eyes I see this young and beautiful lady right in front of me, wow...

Sally still has a beautiful voice. Anyone who has experienced some of the sad things that have heppened to her will empathise and want to give her a very long hug. She's so lovely.

As someone who is now a certain age ,I had a metastatic grade 3 brain tumor, ten years ago,after the surgery to remove the tumor,I couldn’t even sign the get well cards I was receiving,didn’t want to leave my dark basement,(couldn’t deal with noise or sunlight)
But this passed and with family and patients help I now play the guitar again as well as golf and play with grand kids,after the dark a whole new person came out, hang in there never give in and never quit!you never know when the next step,next painful exercise will be the one the change it all!
there's something to be said for a nice quiet basement

I was a child of 8yrs old back in 72 and loved Chirpy and Soley even though I hadn't a clue what they were about.
I must take this opportunity to ask this and hope that Sally reads it and maybee has a laugh. Did you ever meet Brian Connolly from Sweet? Do you think he tried to look like a male version of you? If so he did a damn good job!

Having drooled over you when I was younger and now we're all much older, it's funny how time changes things. Watching that video, you're still as beautifull but in a different way.
Ross, I think you spoke for quite a few of us! Sally's voice was like silver bells, clear, strong, and sweet. In terms of voice quality, ABBA absolutely paled in comparison.

I was in my early teens when you first came to my attention (and no doubt many other teens and mens attention). Your looks and voice were outstanding and beautiful back then and im glad to see they still are today. Some people always remain in a persons head, no matter how much time has passed, your one of these people, although rarely seen, you are never forgotten.
As a school boy, you were my pin up girl. You still are. At 67 am still living your music. Get better my girl. And back in the lights. Where you shone. And we lived.

I am from Sweden. One of my most remarkable memories from my youth is when i first heard Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep. I was 16 and it was May 25, 1971. It impressed me very much. I never forgot it. But soon after i stopped following pop lists - but many years later i began to think more about it and began to look up later songs från Middle of the Road.
Sally I loved all the music and lyrics from the early days until now - god bless --- you have a wonderful voice always

Hi Sally, Glad to hear you are getting back to normal, sadly I lost my darling wife on the 1st of march from a stroke, she was only 51 and its how these things happen so suddenly and out of the blue that it throws your life in turmoil. I wish you all the very best in your recovery. Duncan

Just rediscovered your music, I was very young when many of your songs were released and maybe didn't appreciate them at that time. You have a beautiful voice and I enjoy watching your videos on you tube. Sorry you had a bad time with health and hope you are managing ok. I only just discovered Middle of the Road this past year. Soley Soley came out the year I was born. I listen to this music to feel good, and I sing their songs at work. Sally is a treasure!
I was in std 3 in a primary school in Malaysia in 1972. We had this sports day and half way through the song "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep" was blasted through the 📢! And everyone joined in the chorus " Oo wit Chirpy Chirpy Cheep cheep"! How nostalgic were those days...
